What, you didn't come here to be instructed on the proper way to refer to the University of Pennsylvania? I'm shocked. |
??? This is the best comment of this entire thread (well, minus the acceptance info which is really what this is all about) Signed, the Penn grad who says UPenn to make it clear to other people |
Would you mind sharing stats? GPASAT/ECs etc? |
Not ???,
|
Give it a rest, Penn person! Good grief. Are you so obtuse that you don't realize that YOU are the fingers on the chalkboard. On and on and on. Whatever you refer to you it is fine, and so is UPenn for those who aren't super familiar and want to distinguish it from Penn State. Just shut your keghole for Pete's sake. |
Cornell RD hasn't come out yet. If it's an ED decision, why haven't you pulled your other applications? Also, ND is restrictive early action which wouldn't be allowed given the Cornell ED application. |
As a fellow Dartmouth alum, I implore you to shut the eff up because you sound like an ass and I don't want to be associated with you. |
So you are saying someone on an anonymous website lied. SHOCKER! |
While it probably is a lie, some students have received likely letters. |
| Can people add if their kid went to private or public and if public were they in AAP program first. Trying to figure out if private was worth it. Please no snark as a lot of people are wondering same thing |
Really? hasn's come out for you... This special invitation is extended to you because of your strong academic and personal record and because you will be admitted to Cornell University’s Class of 2023. ...You are cordially invited to join us for : Diversity Hosting at Cornell University Notre Dame... ....March 26, 2019 Congratulations on your admission to the University of Notre Dame as well as your interest in the College of Engineering! I have included in this email an e-booklet link here that will provide you with additional information about all our programs. The Notre Dame curriculum is somewhat unique in that you do not have to declare a specific major during your first year. Instead, we provide you with the opportunity to learn about engineering... I do not need to lie plus I have full ride scholarships in 3 of the 4 schools |
I actually found the explanation helpful and interesting. Are you an attorney? I am, so the details and the specific words matter to me. I am also aware that many people find this sort of thing needlessly pedantic so I understand why others are responding to you negatively. |
No. I know all I need to know about UPENN alums. My brother is one and wears it like a badge. I don't blame his dbaggery too much on PENN. He was a dbag prior to attending, but it certainly exacerbated it. |
I'm an attorney, too, and all this does is make the poster sound like a pretentious ass. |
No one accused you of lying, they accused you of being unethical. |
