Should McLean Pre-ECNL players consider Spirit DA?

VDA is good because they have good main feeders (PWSI and VSA). McLean parents started this thread asking about their 07s and 08s. You just need to take your meds and everything will be all better for you and the rest of us.

Why do I keep hearing that PWSI and VSA are great feeder clubs? Is VDA doing that great in ECNL?? And are 90% of the gorls from VSA and PWSI? Mclean 08 is better than both teams. Heck half the CCL teams in that age are better than PWSI/VSA Am I missing something did they win a big tournament or something?

If you’re talking by the #’s. Loudon is much larger than all of these clubs being discussed. Loudon is bigger than most of them combined.

PP is referring to success of vda 05/06. PWSI/vsa must be doing a good job if 50%+ of those teams come from PWSI/vsa. As previously discussed, these are the first “true” vda teams because they hadn’t lost any players to surrounding clubs. PWSI/VSA aren’t good because McLean 08 is good? That doesn’t seem like sound logic...

I hear Spirit is moving to the St. James and Jill Ellis will be coaching allnof the teams. Is this true?

"PWSI/vsa must be doing a good job if 50%+ of those teams come from PWSI/vsa." Sound logic? No other "elite" league level club is located remotely close. With the opportunity to have mostly played together that's a nice advantage to start out with. Better to wait a couple years before the chest thumping.

I'm not sure where you got your info about Ellis. The rumors are just not true. Spirit is ackshually buying out the St, James and expanding and bringing in Pep & Tupac-esque hologram of Cruyf

PWSI actually has professional players that have come through its ranks and coaches from the area that were pros and are now back and coaching. Chest-thumping has been going for a long time. It’s just on the wrong side of the occoquan to be discussed here.

You don't have to agree with me. In fact, I fully respect your right to think differently and believe that Mclean is a better option for your daughter. Someone asked why someone would choose Spirit over McLean, and I provided MY opinion. You don't have to mock it and accuse me of being drunk. Just stay over at McLean. Easy peasy. That's pretty interesting. PWSI has had pro players come through it's ranks and come back to coach on the girls program? or other pros come back to the area to coach girls at PWSI? Since prospective players should be considering the coaches, please let us know who they are and when and where they played professional. Does being a professional player mean they are great girls youth coaches?

VDA boys play DA so they can’t play tournaments. DC United is largely made up of PWSI and VDA players. Check their YNT call-ups, Gen Adidas rosters, and players playing professionally abroad. You’ll notice a trend. VDA is the only club in the area that plays nice with DC United.

The girls are new and I think their ECNL results speak for themselves. But hey, keep checking on those Under 11 tournament results.
