Should McLean Pre-ECNL players consider Spirit DA?

Not whatever

Horse in race or dog in fight ....but never..under any cicusmstances...dog in race.

VDA 05 is a new team. VDA played DA last year. The 04 team was the youngest DA team.

However, McLean 05 where a team and played ECNL last year. They were then ripped apart by Spirit recruiters and rebranded Spirit 05.

So in theory, the Spirit 05 team is not new.

Spirit 05 has actually been together for years then? Interesting. I guess the answer to the thread question is if you want to leave a good club with a track record of success to play for DC Urban Mom SOccer Club then you should consider leaving McLean and playing for Spirit. Why didn’t Spirit go to GA for tophat games?

By the looks of the results this year, Spirit parents did McLean a favor.

By all means, keep rooting for Spirit to fail so that you can have more $500-$700 20 hour round trip weekends just so can “get a game”.

It is ok to want local clubs to be strong and successful because then being the best in the area is truly meaningful instead of believing you’re good until you play a team like PDA and they clean your clock.

PWSI had the DA then pulled in VSA to try and build a super program. They’re actually doing it. This isn’t a crazy idea because it was an existing successful club.

I think we should get back to bashing all the clubs WSVA kids didn’t make. Check the title of this thread. What do I care? I don’t have a dog in this fight anyways...

VDA is good because they have good main feeders (PWSI and VSA). McLean parents started this thread asking about their 07s and 08s. You just need to take your meds and everything will be all better for you and the rest of us.

The thread is being manipulated to recruit 07 and 08 McLean kids for Spirit.

Someone was knocking the McLean coach who was coach of the year because he recruits. Is that fair? Doesn't the same coach also coach nationally-ranked teams at Herndon.

Or Spirit parents started it to recruit to their club.

But I have no dog in this fight.

Why do I keep hearing that PWSI and VSA are great feeder clubs? Is VDA doing that great in ECNL?? And are 90% of the gorls from VSA and PWSI? Mclean 08 is better than both teams. Heck half the CCL teams in that age are better than PWSI/VSA Am I missing something did they win a big tournament or something?

The combination of PWSI and VSA sure is “brand new”. SMH. It’s as though Loudoun and FCV got together and decided to send the best of their existing A teams to a single DA squad. Oh wait that happened. So did the PWC/VDA version. How does this compare to the brand new Spirit VA org? That’s right, it doesn’t. It was an interesting “angle” though.

The majority of McLean 05 team was rebranded as Spirit 05. Sooo...

VDA parent, 9 of your players come from 2 teams, That is almost enough for a starting lineup. What does it matter what league VDA played in when and at what age group? That's irrelevant for that point.

Very few players on Spirit 05 are from McLean 05 ECNL. I don't think you know how many. If you did and you'd feel foolish for saying that you consider that to be ripping a team apart AND a McLean ECNL 05 rebrand to Spirit 05.

PWSI has been good for a long time and until VDA fed FCV, McLean, BRYC, etc. VSA is growing and getting better. VDA younger teams doing well in ECNL.

No, not really.. but if you asking about triggered parents, it sounds like VSA parents are still pretty chapped about losing to WSVA.

VSA didn’t play Spirit. VDA did and lost 1-0.

If you could make McLean, why play spirit?
