“The State Department is preparing to recommend that the Trump administration’s top representative for Iran policy receive disciplinary action for his role in politically motivated firings of employees at the department, according to two government sources involved in carrying out the investigation.

The department’s inspector general has been investigating Brian Hook and other State Department officials for their involvement in layoffs and other personnel decisions that impacted individuals who were thought to have perceived loyalty to the Obama administration. Several whistleblowers raised allegations against Hook and others, prompting the inspector general to analyze emails and other documents as part of the probe. The recommendation for Hook is set to be outlined in a new report by the inspector general. It is due out within the next several weeks.”

BLOW THOSE WHISTLES! Reveal this cesspool!

The whistleblower is going to have to go to the media just to get around the GOP corruption.

Let’s just hope he or she has the courage to do so. There have to be dozens of people who have explosive information regarding this corrupt administration; you’d think that at least a few would be willing to come forward and brave the blowback.

The former chairman of North Carolina’s Republican Party admitted Wednesday that he broke the law by lying to federal agents about his role in an alleged effort to bribe the state’s top insurance regulator to help a major GOP donor.

Robin Hayes pleaded guilty to making a false statement in August 2018 to FBI agents conducting the bribery. Hayes, a former congressman, was initially also charged with conspiracy and bribery.

“Today was a big step forward. Robin looks forward to completing this process and moving ahead,” said Kearns Davis, Hayes’ lawyer.

“But while administration officials have defended the diversion of hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars from airport-security operations, the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) disaster-relief fund, and the U.S. Coast Guard, DHS has spent nearly $120 million of its funding… on office furniture.

Since President Trump’s inauguration, DHS and its subsidiary agencies have spent $119,530,544.14 on office furniture, according to data compiled from the service USA Spending, which tracks federal spending. Since the implementation of the administration’s “zero-tolerance” immigration policy, which resulted in the traumatic separation of thousands of migrant children from their families, the department has spent $79,359,212.32.”

I'm sorry, what? How do you spend $120 MILLION on office furniture? Mahogany desks cost $800,000 each? $1,000 for sterling silver pencil holder? $750,000 for a Tiffany desk lamp?
