No, it's not. Those are facts and it's just a list of the record of all the club's in the conference.

The facts are also available through ECNL’s site and don’t need to be posted redundantly here.

How about we start posting the weather in this thread every day? I mean, sure a lot more, better, and official information can be seen elsewhere, but why not come here, to a sounding board to post it, just because.

I'll start.

It's 35 degrees and overcast at DCA.

So Loudoun getting swept in every single ECNL game is not attention worthy? Bragging or rubbing it in is part of local soccer culture, especially among parents who spent $10+K per year on ECNL or DA to get the best coaching and competition.

So you admit that posting the points is trolling.

Posting points or even lopsided scores is not trolling, but rather is sharing objective information/data. Saying that a local club A has swept a local club B, if true, is stating a fact and also a bit of bragging or rubbing it in. Trolling is posting something controversial and frequently untrue. So you have three different types of behavior. I don't think posting scores or stating a fact that one club swept another club is controversial.

No, it is trolling. The points are listed. There is no context or discussion regarding the points. As a matter of fact club points are meaningless. Most people only care about the team their kid is on. I know I could care less how older or younger teams in the club are doing.

And most parents who have their kids in ECNL or DA are there solely for the showcase platform the leagues offer. College coaches don’t ask if you won Jeff Cup.

Loudoun getting swept is not really interesting given this is their first year in ECNL. All of the better players U13+ left the club years ago. They are really an ECNL expansion team.

Will be more interesting to watch their U12s next year and how they do in ECNL play.

Last year was BRYC's first year in ECNL and they didn't get dominated the way Loudoun is

By reading this board, you'd think the entire Loudoun 2007 team is on the fast track to the YNT... lol

A few of them may realize that their most direct path to the national team is thru FCV not Loudoun.

Or moving to a different part of the country.... DC area doesn't seem to be a hotbed for YNT level talent.

Why? FCV gets worse and worse the younger the teams go. They can't develop players and rely on completely on recruiting. They had a losing record in DA Winter Showcase this past weekend. It's not looking good for them.

I actually appreciate the poster who keeps consolidating the information for me.

Yes you are. It is pretty pointless week after week of posting the incremental changes.

If you are a parent of a 07, 08 or 09 the landscape changes so much that the the current points will mean absolutely nothing in regards to your child's path and the club that they should pursue. But, you will find that out all on your own after week after week following meaningless Club points in a league that will likely be drastically different by the time your 10 year old is of age.

The best place for the 07, 08 and 09 parents to see club vs club is this site below. They already rank these ages groups based on scores.
