| VDA is dominating the younger age groups because of athletes and early bloomers? Delusional BRYC fanboy raise your hand. |
Total points stats can be skewed because some clubs play more games than others. Points per game is a better measure. Here is how the VA clubs stack up: |
|
stupid formatting, here are the club PPG averages
McLean 1.86 Richmond 1.67 BRYC 1.66 VDA 1.23 Loudoun 0.83 |
OMG these club comparisons are sooo stupid. It is lazy and pointless. That this discussion has any traction is more evident of long entrenched former CCL parents who actually believe that club standings matter. You are in a college showcase league. You want your kids team to perform well and your kid to be well showcased. Please stop with this club performance nonsense because it is irrelevant to colleges. |
| Got it. So no more posting about soccer unless it has to do with college placement. |
Go ahead and post the points but that doesn’t mean they are actually important. You are free to post them and I am free to think it is funny that you do. |
Oh I get it now. You are a Spirit parent. Nuff said. |
And one club in the division has 178 points. But we won’t talk about that. |
|
Another club has a 176 points.
So if you are going to brag about points, try and expand the context a bit to the whole division. It is nice that you have set your sights low and local but ECNL after all a National League but go on and keep your CCL mindset. |
The initial post had to do with the strength of local clubs but perhaps you missed the point. Total points are not a great criteria because all clubs play differing numbers of games. I don't know what you can gather from this list beyond what was in the first post, but since you ask, here it is. |
And my point is this is not a local league so the local team focus is stupid. |
| Often in the ecnl more games can bring more losses. Stupid format to post |
Often in <your league name goes here>, more games can brings more losses. Stupid observation to post. |

Number of local ECNL Clubs among the Top Ten Champions League qualifying teams by PPG:
U13 - 1 VDA (7th) U14 - 0 U15 - 0 U16 - 1 BRYC (8th) U17 - 1 McLean (4th) U19 - 2 McLean (5th), BRYC (10) For point of comparison I have provided PDA' Champions League Rankings by PPG and they are as follows: U13 - 1st U14 - 1st U15 - 1st U16 - 2nd U17 - 17th U19 - 0 The point is, get out of your small pond and realize that it is a big ocean out there. One club has more teams in the top two than our metro area has in the top ten. So keep thinking you are better than the guy next door as an accomplishment meanwhile when on the bigger stage you are most certainly very average. |
Holy smokes, go back and read the posts. Do they say anything about any of these MA teams being competitive nationally? I will wait. |
