Michelle is not running for President, folks. |
Get Mattis to run as a Democrat. |
Just in the pocket if AIPAC |
If you think minorities, who are our base, are going to show up for the stop and frisk guy, you are high on your own supply. Also I can write the soda tax attack ads myself. Bloomberg would be terrible. Beto would win. He excites people. 60,000 showed up to see him at a rally! And he came within 3 points of winning in Texas! He can 100% beat Trump if he runs. |
In 2016, the largest voting bloc was not Hillary voters and not Trump voters: it was “did not vote.” IMO, we need to focus on these voters and make serious efforts to get traditionally Democratic (but often inconsistent in turning out) groups like young people and people of color.
Trying to water yourself down to “Republican-lite” in an effort to appeal to the mythical “Republican swing voter” is stupid and way less effective than mobilizing your base. Dems need to understand that and stop chasing these people. Do you think Republicans are sitting around discussing how they need to embrace progressive ideas to win? Of course not. Beto, Gillum, Abrams, Tester, Baldwin...all unapologetic about their principles and did MUCH better than Donnelly, McCaskill, Bredesen types who tried to position themselves as “moderate Republicans.” |
Haven't read the thread but Sherrod Brown won Ohio by 6.5 points, while they voted 4.3 points for a republican governor. This should garner attention, but unfortunately his name isn't floated much. |
I love Senator Tester! I feel like he would be popular across the aisle. Unfortunately, he's not well known & doesn't come from a big state. |
Sherrod Brown seems to be exploring a run - he'll be very formidable. |
Nah - he is. Twitter, The Week, etc have been buzzing about him the last 24-48 hours. His issue is if he can rack up wins on super tuesday. He would hammer trump in a general IMO but in a primary - hmm. Super tuesday - bama, cali, mass, nc, ok, tn, tx, vermont, va. That's not very fertile Sherrod Brown territory IMO. |
Mark Penn says it's Hillary. Again.
|
Gets him more television time. |
And HILLARY. She'll never give up. |
If he couldn't win Texas, what makes you think he could win the country? |
He just floated it himself. The problem from 2016 remains, however: the Republican governors would appli t someone to his Senate seat, and we can’t afford to lose that seat. |
Hillary will never run again and Mark Penn has zero influence with her or even access to her inner circle. I think if Kamala Harris runs HRC will be with her. |
