Tuckahoe by the numbers - how can it stay a neighborhood school?

My prediction: the proposal with potential moves will be so bold that after all the screaming stops all over Arlington, everyone will wholeheartedly embrace the status quo. It would be brilliant, actually. The board isn't going to make any bold changes, but entertaining a proposal containing them will make them look like they're really being bold. And then they can blame the lack of change to all the blowback they received on that plan.

Most likely the bold plan will be refined into a compromise that converts ATS into Spanish immersion and Nottingham, Discovery, McKinley or Tuckahoe becomes ATS.

Anyone know what happened at the school board meeting?

Did the Tuckahoe nuclear option work? This is turning into a real nail biter. Time for the popcorn.

It will be tragic to lose the home and garden tour. It really helps build the moral cohesion.

It is always interesting to see who pays the most for lawn care. Tuckahoe families live in such a bubble and are out of touch with the real world.

We absolutely love the Home & Garden tour. It helps identify the haves vs the have nots. Although the apartments and townhomes along Lee highway aren't well represented.

I just laughed out loud. Hard. To the point of tears.

I've been having a shitty morning so far and really needed that. Thanks, pp!

I suspect they will be released at the last moment before the central office closes for the day so that people have to cool down over night before they can call up and scream at the poor person stuck answering the phone.

You pay for builders and designers to advertise to you. Isn’t that how it’s supposed to work?

It's a PTA fundraiser, give it a rest.

Ah, so because a Title I school wouldn't be able to put on this kind of fundraiser no one should? Okay, let's do that. But then we'll also have to do away with their contributions to the CCPTA that then get passed long to the Title I school PTAs as grants. Winning!
