Seinfeld was a frequent guest on Howard when his show was new and had no audience. Once it shot to number 1 he was very honest that he stopped going on Howard's show because he didn't need to anymore and Howard switched to mocking Seinfeld. There's way more there about Howard being married to his first wife at the time and Seinfeld being single and sleeping around but this is 25yo radio drama that I heard doing a delivery job as a college kid and am boring myself with this trip down memory lane. |
Ok, what about Elvis? Was he creepy with Priscilla? |
Yes |
I’m kind of surprised there was no me too backlash against him. One could argue the his show was a vehicle to meet attractive women (he had about 50 “girlfriends” on the show) and none had anything bad to say about him but he had a creepy relationship with a 17 year old. |
It's not just that she was 17, but that he was 38. It wouldn't be a scandal if a 19 year old dated a 17 year old. |
Ew, yes, and it was a scandal when the public realized that he married a 13 year old. |
Priscilla was 14 when they met and 21 when they married, but still definitely icky.
It was Jerry Lee Lewis who married a 13-year-old (and she was his cousin). |

He’s disgusting and I have a bridge to sell you if you think he’s been faithful to his wife for 25 years. |
I thought it was creepy in the 90s but still love the show! |
PP here, sorry you're right. |
+1 I think he’s funny and all, but that he was willing to date an underaged girl when he was nearly 40? Ew ew ew. I wasn’t that much younger than her and the men I knew who were his age were so flipping ancient. That 20 year age gulf is a canyon. |
