I just read all the evidence of their sexual abuse and I don’t know, man, that is some awful stuff.

I remember when their parents were initially found shot to death in their upscale Beverly Hills mansion.
Erik and Lyle were looked at as victims, until they were seen spending a ton of $$.
New cars, expensive watches, clothes, etc.
They also acted very cocky and arrogant onscreen too.

Then to hear them weeping over how they used shotguns on their parents due to self defense, that they feared their Father was going to kill them, blah blah blah.

There are no witnesses to testify that they heard their Father threaten to kill them nor is there any written threat that he intended to do so.
If Erik and Lyle were truly in fear for their lives - they were old enough to move out and live on their own.

Killing their parents as a form of self defense makes no sense imo.

Plus these murders were very premeditated, all the planning beforehand was very intentional.
I mean they drove over 2+ hours to San Diego to purchase the firearms!!

I am sorry if they were abused, but if they were that is not a free pass to murder your parents.
There are many (many!) victims of abuse who have never taken such an extreme reaction and the “self-defense” excuse is nuts.
Self-defense is what you do to protect yourself from bodily injury, these guys should have the burden of proof on them to prove that they had no choice but to shoot their parents as they were being threatened w/bodily injury the night their parents were killed.

I have not seen a shred of evidence that Jose was planning on murdering his sons.
Not a witness statement or a manifesto written somewhere…….

Yes but others have been through much much worse and they didn’t blow their abuser’s heads off!?

Also people are defending these brothers by saying they were raised a certain way so it is expected that they would become a certain way as adults.

As if being raised by bad and abusive parents gives one the right to murder other people as an adult.

And yes, if either one of these idiots are ever released from prison then all the women who killed their husbands due to abuse should all be paroled as well!

But his dad was a victim too and we’re getting to the point of saying victims aren’t responsible for their actions. What the brothers did was vengeance, not self defense.

But his dad was a victim too and we’re getting to the point of saying victims aren’t responsible for their actions. What the brothers did was vengeance, not self defense.

Evidence of sexual abuse, or the boys' accounts of it? The problem is that they were/are serial liars. It's hard to know what to believe. Now one of them is coming out and claiming his mom sexually abused him too? They know the case for murdering mom was weak so they're now embellishing it. We also have no idea what the extent of the abuse was or whether the mom actually knew about it. Once more we only have their (unreliable) word for this. Do I believe they grew up in a horrible home? Yes. Do I believe every word that comes out of their mouths? No, not even close.

I agree with a PP this was vengeance not self-defense. Because they are untrustworthy narrators who continue to break the rules, I also agree they should stay where they are.

+1 Charles Manso and many others had rough lives. That doesn't excuse murder and other violent acts.

Yes, I don’t believe for a second Kitty sexually abused them. They will say anything and perform any role to get what they want. Chilling performance in my view.
