So is anyone in Congress going to tell Trump the reflecting pool….

There’s apparently no end to the ways MAGAs will embarrass themselves for Trump

If you honestly believe Trump that this was vandalism, you’re just straight up stupid, either willfully or innately. I don’t use that word flippantly. I’m using it intentionally. If you believe that, you’re a stupid person. Full stop.

Trump has presidential immunity, so whatever he says, goes. Where is the check on his reality distortion? Congress has to do something, but they won't. The Supreme Court nuetered themselves.

Because the real crime is embarrassing their cult leader.

Especially a USA Olympian who represented our country! Apparently he has an interest in waterproof paint due to his sport, piloting a canoe, and simply wanted to see what the peeling paint consistency was:
“Hearn competed three times in the Olympics in the slalom canoe category, and won two world championships for the sport.
He has also designed boats, paddles and other waterproof products, and said he was curious about what materials had been used to paint the pool.”

At this point it isn't just Hearn, multiple people arrested

Anyone claiming vandalism should go to their local public pool and attempt to strip the paint off the concrete with their fingernails. I’ll watch.

What a waste of prosecutorial resources. I would assume they are all out on low bonds and no jury will convict but I feel so bad for them that they will have to pay attorneys.

Heck anyone done any kind of renovation work and scraped paint with tools? You cannot produce chunks like that with a tool. That's clearly the liner having come fully away from the bottom surface having never properly adhered.

He should pay for it. He made this mess, he should pay for it.

100%

Also, they need to drop charges on the folks they arrested. A properly applied sealant coating shouldn't be able to just be pulled up by someone with their bare hands. It's clear that it's separating on its own. I hope the people who got arrested sue Trump for false arrest and defamation, given his unhinged attacks calling them "radical lunatics" and falsely accusing them of vandalism.

Is everyone conveniently forgetting about the carved 86 47 into the bottom of the reflecting pool? You speak of vandalism as if it didn’t happen, rolling to your own “isms”.

You are conflating two different incidents. Nobody carved 86 47 into the reflecting pool. It was imprinted in grass.

You are correct - my bad. Wrong location, right sentiment. Corrosive chemicals were used to imprint 86 47 into the grass by deranged individual(s). Vandalization occurred, did it not?

In the grass, yes. I don’t think they’ve determined what was used yet, though. Nevertheless, we’re talking about the pool now, not the grass.

Stands to reason if there are deranged individuals who vandalize like that, the reflecting pool is fair game as well

equating some markings in grass with the devastation being wrought on the ellipse, mall, white house, kenedy center, institute for peace and reflecting pool is not a horse you want to try to ride.

I suggest you look up other incidents of vandalism in DC, particularly of the Lincoln steps.

There is no evidence that corrosive chemicals were used. Whoever did it has not been identified so we don't know if they were deranged or not. You are having a very difficult time sticking to facts.

Cherry pick much? The markings are there. Anyone willing to do this is not the hero you think the are
