Why only maybe? They are both strong this season - did they lose players ?

Yup losing players, just like the older age groups. Some of the families are realizing how dysfunctional the club/leadership is. Having ECNL is the deodorant that's keeping it from falling completely apart right now.

Wait till next season and you will see. Things change fast in youth soccer. Most of their players left. They are just picking anyone who shows up to fill up the roster. That is a recipe for disaster for sure.

I agree. The strength of most teams can change drastically if the top 3 players leave.

I believe it’s more than the “top 3 players”

They lost a bunch: 2 to Arl, 3 to syc, 1 to VDA, 2 dropped to 12s. That is 8 at least.

2 leaving for VDA - 1 to the 2011s and 1 to the 2012s. This age group change shuffled things around and opened a lot of spots!
how does this even happen? Thats almost 10 roster spots. The complaints must have been valid. Parents actually spoke with their feet. Bravo. Always see people complaining on here and stick around. Make sense why bags crossed the river now.

Why leave when the new coach is the head coach at GW? I would assume that coach has a lot of college connects. For most of our DDs, the reason to play ECNL is to play in college. That coach should help out a lot with that process.

Where are they going? ARL or VDA?

You know this for sure? Or are you just hoping this to be true. Just focus on your own kid's experience.

You can go to GW without playing soccer.

That’s most schools! I’m sure that coach has a lot of connections and could point the DDs in the right direction. I get the posters point from an outside looking in POV

They probably know if for sure, because I've heard the same things about girls leaving FVU

At least 3 dropped down to 2013, at least 3 to other clubs (Arl, VDA and BSC) and of those 6, several are top players. People are sick of MV.

Glad we are hopefully dodging MV in two years. Any predictions for girls the year after this year. Does FVU have a predictable way to anticipate coaches?

SYC had girls go to Arlington and VDA so makes sense there were openings.

And ARL have players going to VDA to make room for those SYC and Union players.

Wait until this weekend in NC. MV likes to punish the ones who are leaving for other clubs by benching them. Too far to go to sit on the bench. BTW..these are players who got playing time before ID sessions.

This is inaccurate information but even it was true, is that a lot of turnover for this year? I wish parents would stop trying to run over coaches that don’t favor their daughters.

Awwww bless your dreamy heart. You think sticking around will help DD get recruited to where exactly?

GW? Thee are two local rockstars on that team. The rest are not from the MA much less Nova.

https://gwsports.com/sports/womens-soccer/roster

Coach is a straight shooter. If you are expecting him to give you a leg up on recruiting you better ask FVU if they are also paying him to be a college coordinator. If he isn’t it shouldnt matter as its on team family to get DD noticed.

If your plan for staying is for DD to walk onto GW you’re doing this wrong. Unless there is a transfer portal exodus the roster will remain full of non VA talent.

Coaches job is to coach. FVUs job is to market and sell. Are they currently doing s good job of that with the older talent? From the sounds of it you may have a difficult season next year. Plan accordingly.

His job is to coach. Her job is to play well. FVU college “person?persons?AI?” is to market as well as your. Dont put that all on J Dubs shoulders. Thats not fair or realistic.

If this is your long term plan. I would strongly suggest huddling up and talking this out. If you are feeling froggy ask JW and dont leave it up to ambiguity. That appears to be the thing biting you parents in the arse. Cant trust that process.
