Coaching (or lack thereof) has a lot to do with it too.

Could u imagine paying $4k before traveling lodging and other fees the club fleeces you of, only to have the German angry guy, and the Johnsons as your “coach”?? Holy hell what a ln absolute scam

This shows that there are many customers who are not happy with what the Rev program is providing. They don’t seem to be very responsive to widespread discontent. The club could lose champions cup and players will continue to seek the best exposure at all age groups. This will mean players leaving rev…just like last year when some 11’s and 10’s left for vda. If NVA beats rev for champs cup, players will go there. Coaching all around is pretty bad so players will go where they think best. On the girls side, there are many mis steps by the coaching staff and management and it’s likely too late to correct it for next year. Combined with grade level teams, there will be a massive upheaval again.

Heard the coaches are engaged with all players development not just the favorites at NVA and well connected on the recruiting side so we may be leaving if things don’t change.

This thread sounds like one person having a conversation with himself. Makes sense since his wife isn’t there anymore.

The amount of hate one person seems to have for a GA club does seem over the top. Just take your kid somewhere else and be done with it.

Although it might be a coach trying to disparage a competitor.

NVA coaches are well connected with college coaches. They have sent girls to various P4 schools over the past few years.

Correct, when they had the talent to do so. Not anymore…

It'll come back around. Some of the talent left because of the switch from ECNL, not because it's a bad club. The younger ages are still filled with talent.

Colleges want kids who know how to play soccer. Not the kickball type player. This club favors kickball right now and why they failed in CA. I doubt all these complaints come from one person whose wife got nailed by the club president.

Actually we had two closer games with two better teams in the past month. So we don’t really care about that result. By all means keep being full of yourself.
VRSC still a farce program. Congrats on your last championship cup.

Seriously, where is the VRSC #Onefamily guy and the guy rubbing Champions Cup in everyone’s face? They’ve been very quiet since Monday. The win and tie results were from the youngest age groups. Do you think those players will want to stick around, I don’t.

We’re still here. Just enjoy other chiming on how the OneFamily is spiraling down on that gamble buying out Chris and his crew from FCV and making promises to young girls and their paying parents for such a god awful showing in these tournament which presence didn’t earn and were put in automatically. At least their drunkard parents are able to maintain the influence in check - have you seen them with coolers in early am games during the fall? It ain’t coffee what they’re drinking

Those parents sound like my kind of people.

The tournament was a disaster for the former FCV coaches. Really bad coaching all around. Most of the younger teams see that this club is a dead end and will be looking for better opportunities as a result. There will be the same kick ball players who ED loves and play the entire game will stick around making this club further into the hole. OneBigFailure.

+1. FCV rarely developed young talent but, as a top program in the DMV, they were able to poach talent in the GA years. Poaching talent in the GA years is not an option for Rev, there are too many higher quality teams in the area. So, they need to develop young talent, but Rev has no idea how to do that.

As a VRSC parent, I can say that they are not perfect but no club is. You will find good and bad reviews on any club in the area. I was not a fan when the FCV crew came over. It changed the club for the worse. The club WAS focused on player development but no longer. They are like every club promising development and pathways but will always place an external player on a higher team because it means a new revenue source. Its all a business and it's why US soccer will always trail international soccer.

Will we leave, no. Why, because the devil I know is better than the devil I dont know. If my DC's teammates leave, then that could change if we stay.

It's time to cut our losses and move on. The girls side ga coaches are just bad.

The FCV Coaches (CC,MJ,ED) are bad and the parents that followed them are bad too. We were fine before they came.

Sorry, unfortunately for me I have watched College soccer and it is horrible. Lots of pushing and kick & run.

Correct, womens college coaches want speed, aggression, 1on1, and kickball. They specifically dont want to develop skills and team play.

Exactly why the teams lose when it comes down to competitive play. It's clear that revolution follows this example.

Agree. These parents tell the coaches who gets to play and when. Coach can't make their own decisions because they don't actually know much about coaching girls soccer.

Rev teams didn’t really fail in CA, because they never had any teams that was truly going to be able to compete. Maybe they had hopes for the 09 team but lets be honest, they got into Champs Cup by default on a technicality.
