Awaiting ED decisions — how are you feeling?

brown will move forward with ED date. I'm sure they're rewriting the letter, but they want their staff to be able to go home.

I agree this is what they will do. Otherwise will create a cascading issue.

The rejections this year are enormous. Its a complete bloodbath for some reason.

Brown just announced they will delay the ED decisions for 48 hours. The letter says they’re fully prepared to release tomorrow will now hold off due to the tragedy.

that means a similar thing. decisions are made, but this isn't the time. but don't bother calling - the staff will be going on break as usual.

And the cascading issues unacknowledged. Students with HS counselors going on holiday break this week will not be there to complete ED2 (and RD). So if you get rejected ED1 from Brown you may well have no chance at any ED2.

well, they were going to release tmw and now they'll release Wednesday. Same as Yale. Day before Harvard. They couldn't delay longer imo, but this week is okay. Wednesday is okay.

If you are one who stated that they def won’t change the 12/15 announcement date/time, and now claim them delaying it means the same thing…talk about revisionist history.

Why is it a fake deferral?

If you defer nearly everyone, they aren’t really in the running. It feels kinder to do more rejections.
