Same. My DC is convinced they’re getting in, despite all my efforts to balance that confidence with being prepared for the possibility of a different outcome. No dice. Won’t budge. I’m almost sick with worry.

PP here. DC was right and got accepted ED today. I can finally exhale. I wish luck to everyone. This is so stressful.

+1. In at UVA and so glad to be done. Doesn’t quite feel real yet though.

Sorry. Virtual hugs to you and your kid.

The rejections hurt. But if it helps I know kids who got rejected from their EDs last year and ended up at Dartmouth, UVA, Michigan and many other amazing schools.

Look at the 'Rejections' thread down-forum

Harvard's REA is coming out next week and I've read that they do lots of fake deferrals, which I think is terrible. Why give kids a hope. Just pull the bandaid and let them move on!

Georgetown too. I think they don't reject anyone in the early round...am I right?

One has to wonder if Brown ED which is due out tomorrow will be delayed.

I would guess that it will be delayed.

Yes. Understandable. Brown has already announced they are cancelling remaining classes and exams. But if ED is delayed that could create a difficult situation for ED students need an RD and ED2 strategy since many high schools will go on holiday break during the upcoming week and those students will not have access to their counselors during break to submit ED2 (and RD) apps before deadlines. If the Brown response comes late and is anything other than good news many applicants could be shut out of ED2 options.
