| Also, derivative sovereign immunity certainly won’t shield a contractor in a very important court — the court of public opinion. Will a Cushman & Wakefield or JB Smith (just to pick 2 names) want to be forever known as the contactor that helped destroy the historic, beloved Kennedy Center? Seems pretty bad for the brand. |
Companies and people who cooperate with Trump seem to be delusional and think it will always be different for them. It won't be |

He soils everything he sits on. |

^^Like a rat, compelled to defecate in the very feed it is consuming. |
Yes he started the dumpster fire and the natural consequences are his too. Used to love the KC and its progressive programs and performances along with the traditional. It’s now a faux (casino gold) guilded tainted abandoned forsaken space. No self respecting performer or patron would participate in this. |
| I hate that he is going to take it down. The Kennedy Center was beautiful. |
I don't understand why this can't be stopped. |
Who would stop him? Both Houses of Congress are under Republican control, and they don’t care — at least not on record. The Roberts Court has given him permission to do whatever he wants. It’s also likely that a chunk of the Roberts Court, a chunk of Congress, and a good number of the billionaires and multi-millionaires supporting him are thrilled with what they’re getting and even more thrilled that people are focusing on things like this instead of releasing the complete unredacted Epstein files. There’s shame — but that doesn’t matter to Trump. Trump and Ivana never got the respect and attention that they craved from New York “society” in the ‘80s. Now, instead of trying for social acceptance, he’s destroying the historical and cultural icons that educated and cultured people value. I wonder if the shade of Scalia haunts him. |
|
Billionaires have destroyed the east Wing of the white house, have destroyed the institution of the Washington Post and are threatening other monuments and certainly a lot of the employment in the region.
Immigrants are not the problem, the billionaire are. |

RIP Kennedy center, I hope they bury you somewhere better than east potomac park

Wait this seems like good news for the Kennedy Center, am I wrong? 1) Defendants [Trump], together with their employees, agents, and anyone acting in concert with them, are ENJOINED from: a) enforcing or implementing the announced closure of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts (“Kennedy Center”), including but not limited to through staff layoffs, cancellation of contracts or performances, withdrawing advertising, and issuing further communication stating the Kennedy Center will close; b) taking any further steps to close the Kennedy Center; c) taking any steps to demolish, remove, or materially alter the Kennedy Center’s exterior façade, structural framework, or building envelope, including by initiating demolition, structural reconstruction, or comparable construction activity; provided, however, that Defendants may continue routine maintenance, repairs, and operations that are contemplated by the Kennedy Center’s existing Comprehensive Building Plan. |
Nothing has happened. That is a proposed order. The plaintiff filed but nothing has been decided. |
| the fact this was proposed in all seriousness without any actual notice to the public is abhorrent. |
Well, I can think of at least a few billionaire immigrants who have been very much the problem. |
