the local and state officials did react to it, and the matter was resolved without the national guard. Maybe if ICE wasn't creating a false flag event, we could enjoy our weekend rather than be concerned about the end of our republic.

The country is sick and tired of having millions of people who can come in whenever they feel like and do whatever they want. Illegals are crushing California under all of the free healthcare the idiots running the state are giving everyone. Illegals are driving up our taxes because they need tons of free healthcare, they overwhelm our schools, and then need all sorts of subsidized housing.

Why can't they just fix their own countries? It is not the US' responsibility to take in impoverished people from every country on the planet. We are allowed to exist as an autonomous nation with a border. I'll never understand why Democrats hate the idea that we are allowed to exist as a country with strict immigration control. Trump would have never been in office if the Democrats and Biden didn't flood the country with millions of illegals and undid ebeything that was previously working to control immigration.

Now the Dems are burning everything down and waving foreign flags on our soil.....all to support illegal immigration 🤯.

The democrats are going to lose even more at the mid terms and even more in 2028.

The people flee their countries because of their governments and climate change. Under democrats (and until recently republicans too) the US sent aid to those countries as carrots to induce better behavior and address to root causes of the migrations. And addressing climate change so the air and water in those countries are tenable if vital to the issue. So ignoring climate change and ending aid makes the illegal immigration worse. People like Marco Rubio spoke on this extensively before they bent the knee.

I’d bet that most are supportive of tightening border security (see the bipartisan border bill that was proposed in 2024) and a process for dealing with those who have entered illegally, but they are not ok with using military style vehicles and agents in full combat gear raiding a Home Depot to arrest workers. It’s more the method that is the issue.

I find it fascinating the Democrats are all about law and order and principled due process when it comes to Kilargo Garcia and freaked out when his people "wrongly" deported him to El Salvador even though he had a standing deportation order. But when Trump is upholding the laws by deporting illegal migrants, they break out into riots and protests?

Democrats didn't freak out about Biden or Obama deporting people BECAUSE THEY DID IT UNDER THE CONSTRUCT OF OUR LAWS and at rates much higher than Trump did in his first term or now. Democrats are freaking out because people who are playing under the rules of our system, or worse, who are green card holders or natural born US citizens, are being rounded up extrajudiciously and sent off to foreign prisons. Wake up, the next person to be rounded up could be you.

No one wants their system disrupted, and that's why this issue of illegal immigration is so contentious. Red states need immigration rules enforced to protect their way of life while blue states need them ignored for the same reason.

This is an excellent post that highlights how dependent on exploiting immigrants and people of color the so-called righteous Democrats of the blue states are.

It's the MAGA GOP that will lose big in the mid-terms. Historically, that happens anyway during the mid-terms, but given the batshit crazy stuff Trump is doing, it's inevitable. Most Americans don't have a problem with the deportation of migrants with criminal records, but fewer are for the deportation of ALL undocumented migrants. And many don't like some of the tactics currently being used by the administration, such as involving the military, separating families, or sending migrants to El Salvador without a hearing.

Other people who pay more attention to current events know that the president only calls up the National Guard at the request of the state's governor. Not against their wishes.

Trump did not receive a request last night and the National Guard was not called up.
