The people flee their countries because of their governments and climate change. Under democrats (and until recently republicans too) the US sent aid to those countries as carrots to induce better behavior and address to root causes of the migrations. And addressing climate change so the air and water in those countries are tenable if vital to the issue. So ignoring climate change and ending aid makes the illegal immigration worse. People like Marco Rubio spoke on this extensively before they bent the knee.[/quote]
