Other people who pay more attention to current events know that the president only calls up the National Guard at the request of the state's governor. Not against their wishes.

Trump did not receive a request last night and the National Guard was not called up.

There are plenty of countries you can go live in where they can just disappear people. Don't be such an appeasing weakling and let this country become one of them.

Have you no pride in this country? My military veteran relatives would have been very disappointed in your attitude but they would have fought to protect you anyway. I am glad some of the older generation had sacrificed a lot for this country, did not live to see this.

Please. Think about the issues that actually affect your daily lives and the lives of our most vulnerable citizens. Use that to guide you. Not the scare tactics your party is using to make you think this particular situation is so dire that only a lawless strongman like Trump can handle it.

Well said, but this is not about our most vulnerable citizens. Ultimately, this is about our republic and the rule of law. When "federal agents" can snatch people off the streets and send them to another country's prison "just because" and without a hearing or any "due process" it digresses quickly to anyone who doesn't show fealty to the ruler and "the state" - hitler, stalin, kings and authoritarians use the same playbooks for their own power and wealth. EVERYTHING this country has stood for for 250 years is at risk. As Benjamin Franklins said, "...as long as we can keep it" - we are on the precipice RIGHT NOW between the US Constitution and the actual rule of law, or this BS manufactured crap at a Home Depot of all places, so the likes of Donald Trump and Stephen Miller because our new leaders for the rest of ours, and our children's lives.

I find it fascinating the Democrats are all about law and order and principled due process when it comes to Kilargo Garcia and freaked out when his people "wrongly" deported him to El Salvador even though he had a standing deportation order. But when Trump is upholding the laws by deporting illegal migrants, they break out into riots and protests?

That’s fine, Bush did it in 92 and Trump did it in 2020. Didn’t seem to help their election prospects much for the following term. it shows leadership weakness.

Democrats didn't freak out about Biden or Obama deporting people BECAUSE THEY DID IT UNDER THE CONSTRUCT OF OUR LAWS and at rates much higher than Trump did in his first term or now. Democrats are freaking out because people who are playing under the rules of our system, or worse, who are green card holders or natural born US citizens, are being rounded up extrajudiciously and sent off to foreign prisons. Wake up, the next person to be rounded up could be you.
