Honestly asking Trump voters: how can you support him after this bizarre episode?

I fail to see how him playing music at his event proves he’s “lost it.”

And, yes, I do plan to vote for him. What I don’t want to do to my country and my children is have a President in office who will continue to implement socialism and open borders. Her policies are what is harming the country and my children. I don’t see the supposed threat from Trump, because I think Democrats are the threat to the country.

You’re so far gone and you can’t recognize that. I honestly feel bad for people like you, spouting the right wing talking points du jour as if they’re real, and to you they probably feel real. They must feel real and immediate for you to be able to blithely ignore all the violence that JD and Donald promise (and it would be JD after about six weeks), for you to vote for your own rights to be taken away, for you to ignore how successful Biden and Harris have been.

You’d feel a thousand times better if you took three days off your right wing crap-o-sphere. Just take a little vacation from the anger and let your amygdala rest.

Not the PP, but we feel the same way about your side. That is the problem with many Dems, and honestly the reason you may lose this time. You are arrogant and condescending, and you refuse to acknowledge that people believe different things. Instead, the party of tolerance and diversity just berates anyone who dares have a different political view, telling them to stop being brainwashed, etc. Well, we think it is you who is brainwashed, but we don't say that all day because we understand that people can have different views, even though we think you are very wrong.

Just accept the fact that whatever faults Trump may have, including getting old, does not change the reality that Harris is a much worse choice in terms of policies and the direction of this country. So just give it up with the Trump this and Trump that nonsense.

so, you know better than all of these economists?

or all of these experts?

Based on what? Please be specific. Do you understand tariffs? Because trump clearly doesn't.

So every "expert" economist believes this? Or do some believe the contrary? That is what I thought. We are all tired of the expert battles these days, and have seen how they are strongly biased in both directions. Remember the (51!!!) national security "experts" who said the Hunter laptop was Russian misinformation? I do.

Trump’s economic plans will raise inflation. Get ready if that’s what you’re voting for. Save now while things are still good.

Right, so one candidate has already been President for four years. Things were pretty good with no inflation. The other candidate has been Vice President for four years (and cast key spending votes) and oversaw some of the worst inflation in our nation's history, after claiming the inflation was just going to be transitory and being told what they were doing was going to make it way worse.

Hmmm, tough choice.

Inflation WAS transitory. It’s been at 3% for a year now. Stop lying.

Ha, good one. I assume you are joking, but if serious, just wow. I haven't even seen Dems try to claim that the inflation was actually transitory. You may need to read up on what that means.

It was pea-brained Janet Yellen that used the infamous "transitory" word and not VP Harris.

Well, I mean we said the same thing about Biden, and your side seemed to think it was fine until the polling was prohibitive, and Biden is objectively WAY worse than Trump has ever been. Trump is doing rallies, town halls, interviews, podcasts, etc. every day. Can you imagine if Biden had been doing those in the spring? This is only being said in the Dem bubbles. No one is taking this projection seriously except you. I just listened to Trump the other day on a very popular podcast, and not only was he totally fine, but he was very quick and witty. Lots of Dem commentators have discussed that podcast, and while they of course take issue with his views and jokes, they don't mention anything about him having declining mental facilities. You all are really trying to make Fetch happen, which is amusing given what happened with Biden.

Aside from Democrats, the only *other* people who seem concerned, are the people on stage with Trump the night he had his little dance party...including the teleprompter writers, and Kristi Noem.

“Your side”? Really? We’re all Americans and should want the best for our country. Biden at the debate was a wake up call. He is not able to lead for another four years. Trump is not able either. He’s trying desperately to compensate for a serious cognitive decline.

It’s too bad there wasn’t more focus on Trump at the debate too. He was clearly not all there, although more so than Biden. But the GOP should have replaced Trump then. It was after the convention, but ballots hadn’t been printed up. But the GOP dithered and stuck with the geriatric.

Most people with at least half a brain knew back in 2020 that Trump and Biden were too old to be trusted with such a powerful and demanding job. I'm fully confident that a majority of people without at least half a brain have now come to that realization by 2024 and Harris will win easily for this reason.

Documented: Inflation was caused by COVID. Biden's bills made the US situation far better than it would have been. You ignore that Trump inherited Obama's growing economy and then passed a tax bill that exploded our debt by 25% and consolidated wealth to the 1%.

You are not giving credit where it's due. Trump inherited a great economy from Obama, which he tanked in 4 years. Biden inherited a terrible economy and has turned it around in 4 years. Trump owes his "success" in the economy to Obama and Biden owes his "failure" of the bad economy to Trump. Facts are facts, not your "alternative facts" aka revisionist history.

NP - it was. And it was all a result of the global disruptions (that weren’t Trump’s fault, in fairness) and even local disruptions related to COVID policies, trade related changes, and the voluntary actions people took in excess of the restrictions.

It takes a lot of time to shake off a 500% increase in raw materials.

It doesn’t make it less transitory.

Look, basically never is inflation the result of Presidential policies.

It’s actually remarkable if you look at our inflation since 2007, on an annualized basis, it’s amazingly low. seeing 1-2 years of 7-9% inflation isn’t remarkable in the context of the natural cycle of monetary policy.

100 years from now they’ll look at the first quarter (hopefully longer?) of the 21st century as a remarkable achievement in monetary policy and not just in the U.S.

That is, if the shit doesn’t hit the fan with inflation in the next 5 years

The bolded is gaslighting. Having a different "political view" is one thing. But when one side literally want to subjugate an entire gender to second class status, when one side is literally saying that using the US miltiary against the other side is ok, you lose the argument.

You want to go back to discussing what the tax rates should be or how much aid we should be giving to one country or another, then great, but that is not where we are as a country at this moment.

See this is where you go off the rails and no one takes you seriously. No one wants to "literally subjugate an entire gender to second class status." That is just silly. Not even sure what you are talking about. Maybe abortion? If so, wanting to protect human life, half of whom are female, has nothing to do with subjugating women -- to the contrary, it is actually protecting millions of female babies.

This is your opinion and the opinion of the anti-abortion faction. Others have a different opinion. tell it to the women who have died, or have been made barren by these policies. It is sickening.

Also, you need to stop taking Trump so seriously when he is riffing. Remember, he has already been President for four years. Everything was fine. In fact, it was a darn good presidency considering he dealt with the Democrat's Russia hoax for three years and then Covid hit. The other candidate has flipped 180 on numerous issues, so we have no clue what she actually believes. That is far scarier, especially in these uncertain times -- remember that the world was pretty much as peace during Trump's presidency.
Nope, sorry, we are taking Trump and Vance at their words. They have been very clear their intent. It isn't a laughing it off or they are just joking. the world was not at peace during Trump's presidency, you have memory-holed those years. One thing is true, he catered and kowtowed to our enemies and made the world less safe for when he left office, leaving, once again, the democrats to try to clean it up.

Right, and your view about abortion is YOUR opinion. Hence, this is policy difference as I said. It doesn't translate into "your side literally wants to subjugate women." That is just your opinion and clear hyberbole. Wanting to protect human life is not subjugating women. If it was men who got pregnant, my view wouldn't change one iota.

They are talking about tracking and arresting women for crossing state lines. You will excuse me if I don't feel like giving them the benefit of the doubt here. And the fact that he spouts so much egregious cr** while "riffing" - as you put it - does not give me any confidence! It is in fact infuriating that this person cannot say ANYTHING clearly - and yet, we've gotten the point! Women are sub-human to these people.

And no it's not f****** hyperbole.

+1

Women aren’t people in the GOP. If the GOP gets power, women’s rights will be slowly or quickly eroded (depending on how many seats they’d theoretically win in Congress). They’ve signaled they’re going to make it illegal for women to cross state lines, for women to get birth control, for women to vote, for women to get no fault divorces. In short, it’s back to about the 1920s for women.

Anyone who supports the party that has created 26,000 children born of rape in just one state does not think women are people. That’s just a fact.

so, you know better than all of these economists?

or all of these experts?

OMG the POTUS doesn’t control global inflation you dummy.

So do we take Vance seriously?

Or is he just kidding too?

People who understand politics have been warning about the GOP’s love of Hungary for years.

There’s no reaching true believers and white supremacists, but anyone who is still on the fence needs to take this seriously and learn how UN American the GOP is. Yes, “it can happen here.” Vote accordingly.
