American Riviera Orchard and Meghan Markle

If I were them I’d become lobbyists for causes I believed in.

So lifestyle influencer actually sounds like a good fit.

As for Harry, I don’t know where he goes from here. Speaking engagements, maybe? Working for a non-profit?

Nobody likes a complainer so he can’t even be a motivational speaker. What would he speak on?

He talks about mental health and overcoming trauma. But I agree that I don’t find him inspiring or helpful. He’s built a brand on being a victim. There’s nothing noble in whining while living a privileged life. There’s nothing inspirational about not being able to get over your mother’s death. There’s nothing motivational about a guy who doesn’t have a real job and hasn’t accomplished anything in decades.

He hasn’t overcome trauma.

I didn’t say he overcame trauma. I said that’s what he talks about: mental health and overcoming trauma. That’s his brand: a grown man with a very public history of screwing up and doing nothing notable who rebranded under the bulletproof umbrella of mental health and trauma.

I’m not a fan, btw.

How can one talk about overcoming something they haven't overcome? Speakers aren't supposed to be demotivational and depressing. Everyone wants an uplifting story. Which is why he's not going to be a sought after paid speaker.

The link doesn’t work for me, so I’ll comment once I’ve seen the site and it’s had a chance to grow. “Empty as a brand” seems like an odd criticism for something not fully launched— so just generally, I’d see if there’s anything there that grabs my interest, and check in again once something is more fully fledged.

I meant "empty" because she hasn't really positioned herself as a housewares maven. It just seems like an industry the PR team chose and they slapped it together. When I think of Meghan, I don't think of jam, tableware and kitchen linens. I didn't know this was an interest of hers. Seems like a modern day QVC/Kathy Ireland type of set-up to sell stuff.

And Kathy Ireland is actually from Santa Barbara!

This is too funny. LOL

She'll be "broke" soon, so she's at least got that part right.

Which is it? She will be broke soon or have more than enough money? Both things have been claimed in this thread. You all need to get on the same page about their financial health.

It's all speculation which is why it's in the entertainment forum, remember?

Right! My favorite idiocy from this thread: The PP who said that the Sussexes don’t prioritize their kids because M&H don’t post pictures of them.

Everyone knows that these same people would say that M&H are trying to monetize their children if they posted pictures of them. Not to mention, who would post pictures of their children with all the crazies watching their every move?

There’s no logic with their haters. Just nonsense. It’s kinda fun to watch, though.

Absolutely. The PP was just asking for clarification because there’s a conflict with the messaging here.

Are you slow? Their burn rate is through the roof. If she wasn't such a thirsty climber desperate for validation and adulation then maybe she could live like a normal person on the money they have, but we all know that ain't the case.

Why is this so hard for you to grasp?

Honestly, let her have her internet ARO shop and parlay into cooking show. She needs to keep busy. It is not like either are the super prestigious lifestyle they thought they were going to have 4 years ago. Although I also suspect she will get bored of this soon enough.

I think he is working to overcome true trauma (major dysfunctional family, mom's mental health issues, dad's infidelity, mom's death) without many role models for emotional maturity and strength, but being born into insane wealth makes him unrelatable. He'd be better off devoting his life to charities for trauma survivors, especially underprivileged survivors of trauma, without trying to get pity for his own story.

Megan's life is not aspirational because she only has this platform due to marrying a royal. I think she also would be better off leaning into working for charities and keeping the spotlight on the cause, not herself.

They should have lived more below their means so they wouldn't have to make desperate moved. If they are paying for their own security detain that is tough, but nobody needs that big a house.

Or maybe anonymous people have different opinions. It's doesn't have to be a coordinated effort as I'm sure you're aware.

But if they have more than enough their burn rate is irrelevant.

Meghan's message would be uplifting to little girls everywhere to make sure they marry well. A tale as old as time.

More than enough if they humbled themselves and lived within their means. But they can't do that because they have delusions of grandeur. So it is very relevant and the reason why they are coming out with all of these desperate cash grabs.
