Knowing neither of the women, they each have 3 children in APS, and families that call Arlington their home. |
Agreed. I'm very tired of career politicians banking on easy wins in Arlington because we always vote Democratic. They are beholden to donors and businesses. |
No they don't. One of Miranda's kids is in a private school. It's right on her website. Where do your kids go to school? My older daughter attends Our Savior Lutheran School, after withdrawing from Drew in early 2021. |
More importantly, do any of the CB candidates GAF about the schools? |
If you want someone who isn't beholden to anyone, then it looks like Erin is the only one. Miranda is beholden to her supporters in APE, some of whom are not even Dems. Angelo is beholden to the Dems. |
Right after it says, returning to APS this fall. |
which is different from being in APS now |
I wish I had the privilege to just pull my kids out of APS and go to private school like Miranda does. |
So are these national democrats or local Arlington democrats who are pushing him into running for something that doesn't mean anything to him personally?? I would really like to know. The whole thing is textbook Marjorie Taylor Greene, who had never lived in that small county in Georgia, nor had any ties there (nor nearby), but she knew she could win there, and had help. She was never interested in that county or anyone it it, but it worked so well for her personal gain. |
you're such a clown. Angel is not "beholden to the Dems." He will please any donor that can continue his political career. Please learn the difference. I also didn't say I wanted a candidate is is not beholden to anyone. They ought favor causes and community groups that are meaningful to them. That is the point of grassroots politics. Please stop making everything about APE. Your are dominating this thread. |
The full answer on the FAQ: My older daughter attends Our Savior Lutheran School, after withdrawing from Drew in early 2021. She will return to APS for middle school in the fall. My younger two children are enrolled at Montessori Public School of Arlington |
GrAsSrOoTs Sure. |
Ang reminds me of the Ryan Mcelveen, the former young FCPS school board member who works for the Brookings Institute. Ryan was a recent Marshall HS grad and saw himself as a voice for the students. |
Yep. Two women who have the same platform and an opportunist. All bad choices. I think right now I’m voting for Miranda, but we will see how they do in debates I suppose. I wish an independent would run, but they have no hope in Arlington. ACDC runs this game. |
It’s too bad Maggie Slye is not running. A former teacher would have been good right now. |
