| I just hope the same parents that want no restrictions are happy to have their kids teachers/bus drivers/cafeteria staff working with a "cold" or being out recovering when they get that "bad virus" again. |
Those are he kids who will be forced to go to school ill. |
Yes, many have complained that keeping kids home is super inconvenient. |
Your wish is my command. I’ll definitely be happy going back to the new normal. The clock is ticking…less than two weeks! I need to start looking into school supplies. |
I don't want anyone to be in schools when they feel under the weather, teachers, staff, or students. I also don't want people who feel well and healthy to be home because of asymptomatic COVID. If the entire county doesn't have a mask mandate, supporting one in schools makes no sense. I'm not forcing my first grader into a mask all day long while adults pack into bars and gyms. |
They are sick with asymptotic Covid so your post makes no sense. And be real. Kids will go to school sick. Adults in bars has nothing to do with school. If anything because the adults are behaving poorly, more reason to be careful in schools. Plan for Covid. It’s going to be a bumpy fall. |
You don’t sound very organized. |
Honestly? I don't care that kids go to school sick. Our country does jack to support families and if it's a choice between sending a kid to school while sick or losing a job, I'm fine with a parent sending their kid in sick. I'm not so oblivious as to think every family has a full-time SAHP or that every working parent has adequate sick leave. As for asymptomatic COVID, you don't get the point, which is that it shouldn't matter anymore. We cannot keep quarantining people and shutting down over an asymptomatic illness. Last but not least, mask mandates are a policy issue. If we're going to say that schools need mask mandates, then we darn well better have them for the rest of the indoor spaces in this county, too. Unfounded inconsistency is poor policy; it leads to people checking out of the political system entirely or voting for candidates who would be truly awful. If that's what you want, by all means, keep going. |
You want your first grader who has COVID to go to school maskless? |
No, I want my first grader to go to school maskless when he's not sick. If he's sick, I'll keep him home. |
| Sorry to disappoint the Covid fans in this thread, but MoCo is back down to the Low community level. We’re not bringing back masks. |
People who think they are asymptomatic have spread it. It went through my adult DD’s workplace despite staggered in office days. |
What’s your point? Covid is everywhere- you’re not going to be able to hide from it. |
The majority of parents here are not at risk of losing their jobs and those that are, are at risk because of people like you who don't care and would send their kids in sick. Yes, we can send people home for asymptomatic illness because they are sick. |
So, you want to get it every 2-3 months? |
