$7/gallon gas is coming

Oil is fine but I do have a question. Why don’t we have any new refineries? I think there are only two major refineries still running in the US for automotive fuel production.

I am seeing 3.65-3.80 all around -- NE DC, GA Ave etc. Maybe you all need to get out of your bubbles.

It was never "half to a third" of that last year as was previously claimed in this thread.

Yep. But nobody on the right wants to address that.

We are the victims of industry, not Biden’s policies.

Psaki is an orange haired moron.

You idiots celarly don't understand how oil works. You can't just start drilling and producing more like it is an off/on switch. Biden's policies have made oil unprofitable until oil reaches around $120/barrel. Even at $120 you won't immediately start drilling again because of the price falls then you will lose money. You need more buffer room for it to make sense.

DP. You seem to know some things about oil production (I don't). If what you say is accurate, why are energy companies making record profits here and abroad? Here in the US they also got COVID rescue packages thanks to tax payers. But it's exclusively the government's fault if energy prices go up?

Even Elon is wanting more oil and gas production. .

There's no way we can solve our current problems with wind/solar fast enough. We're going to need to use all energy solutions available to us, we can't just cut out gas/oil right now. No matter how eco-friendly people want to be.

Trump's the one who made us more dependent on Russian oil, so don't know how you figure that one.

But now is the wrong time to go back to work in person.

The pipeline would not have been ready until 2030 and has NOTHING to do with the global demand associated with a war and economic rebound from a pandemic.

Guess again. Oil imports from Russia were high under Obama - they dropped under Trump - then shot up once Biden took office.

They "shot back up" in 2019 as a result of Trump imposing sanctions on Venezuela and stopping Venezuelan oil imports. So instead they bought oil from Russia. That was on Trump's watch.
Does the flow of Russian oil to the US need to end now? Yes.

As for "the price of gas is high because of the war" consider that even now we only get 3.5% of our oil from Russia. Yet the price hike is much higher than the war and Russia can account for. I'd wager it's only in small part the war and Russia, but far more price manipulation and price gouging on other fronts.

This is great news! So glad to hear you morons with urban assault vehicles suffer. There is no reason for anyone in this area to not use metro or other public transport.
