Do your children see other children outside of school? Do they wear masks when at a friends house? Have your family gone to a restaurant or traveled during winter break?

Unless we all are going to hunker down in every facet of our lives like we did at the beginning of the pandemic, then COVID will spread. Protect yourself and your loved ones and get vaccinated.

Outdoors and with masks, and we don't go into friends' houses, and no we did not go to a restaurant or travel during winter break. We don't want COVID.

It is remarkable how resistant people spouting this line seem to be to accepting that this is the case. They all seem to think it's going to be a gotcha of some kind to ask these questions.

You sound fun.

I'm tons of fun. We used to have the house that all the kids came to back in the before times. And we have a ton of geeky activities you might not fine fun that keep us all entertained.

New data are out for Jan 11 — increase across the board due to the home tests:

Where is the data from January 10th??? Check it out. It's missing. Those are not the same numbers they posted yesterday.

They replaced the 10th with the 9th. So we don't see those huge numbers from yesterday. Why?

Looks like an honest mistake -- data for Jan 8 are posted twice. Not everything is a conspiracy.

Eyeballing it, it's double-digit additions for more than half of schools, but not as many as I'd guessed. Some with big numbers after big numbers yesterday, like ESS (32 + 27, school has 400-ish students) and all the Gaithersburgs.

Blair added 72 after 29 yesterday, and Paint Branch 56 after 93 yesterday, but no triple-digit numbers just from today.
