I keep hearing one man, one vote. I guess someone is very serious about that given the topic of this thread, i.e. only men should be voting. The only alternative is a representative democracy, which I understand peope don't like because it's undemocratic. Again, what is the point of this thread? Complain about the voters, but reject any system that would eliminate those voters because it could be gamed?

Youngkin doubled Cheetos percentage of black women voters, after all. If these people can’t see what’s best for them, protective steps need to be taken. We can’t let the next Republican get 12 or 15% of them.

As much as you want that narrative to be true, this election was not decided by moderates and independents, these people are not the ones that swung the election. MORE people voted in this election than ever before. The majority of them were from the southern, rural regions. Republicans (most of them invigorated by the Trump movement) came out in full force, like presidential election-level full force, and there were simply more of them than Democrats. If Democrats had run an Obama-type candidate, perhaps they would have inspired more young voters and minority voters who skipped this election to come out and vote.

I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Youngkin gives me the same energized vibes that Obama gave me. I think he will be a force to be beat in the 2024 election.

He was wise to mostly not say anything of substance during the campaign and let McAuliffe self-destruct. But it's so obvious that he just looks at politics as another avenue to make money for himself and his cronies, impact on actual people's lives be damned...

The funniest thing was hearing that McAuliffe couldn’t attack Youngkin on his career with (I think) the Carlyle group because ol’ Terry himself made so much money with them.
