I met this guy back in August, we have seen eachother twice.. and ever since we first met, we hit it off. He showed so much interest , he would text me everyday. He works in Asia, and he had to leave for a couple of months, and we would email eachother every single day, he was always super sweet and told me many times, he couldn't wait to see me. Well, he returned a few days ago.. and like a light switch.. just is not the same person.. he barley texts me and I am not about to show how much this is affecting me. What the hell happened!!?

sorry to say, he probably met someone and slept with them and naturally, is enjoying himself, which really sucks.
or, he got back with an ex? that sucks. or he just plain lost interest, even though he was communicating with you which sucks b/c he was just leading you on. or maybe he realized he plays for other team, which also sucks. whatever the reason, it just really sucks. |
So... could Jet Lag be the reason???.. He texts me still but is all cut and dry.. WTF? |
He's lost interest. Let it go. |
yeah, I'm sorry, but he lost interest, not jet lag.
I work internationally and am overseas about every 2-3 weeks. when I am actively seeing/dating someone, I communicate regularly and when I come home, it's like fireworks - I can't get to the women's place (or for her to come over to mine) fast enough. |
Agreed. It could be any of those things and more. OP: It appears you just do not know enough about this person to simply ask him. Which also sucks. Im sorry. Clearly something happened. It could also be a family matter, a health issue. etc. It could be literally any of the above and any thing else. I would suggest bracing yourself for this being the end of whatever it was or could have been. Put that in your mind, and then please just ask him straight up: is something wrong? How honest do you want him to be? Decide on that first, actually. THEN ask. I think you maybe need to know. If you are the type that prefers brutal honesty over games, then tell him so. Texting is not a huge commitment of spiritual energy. Maybe consider that he is not as into you as he appeared, which does NOT mean you not worth being into! Maybe tell us more detail? It depends on how busted up about this you are.... |
Ok.. well.. I met this guy from a friend.. and as soon as we met face to face , he showed much interest, and he invited me out for dinner.. he seemed so fun and goofy texting me the whole time. We went out on two dates .. and he left to Asia.. he would email me every day.. and super sweet like I said.. as soon as he arrived to the US.. he texts me yes.. but that is it.. well.. we were supposed to meet yesterday.. and I noticed him cut and dry in his texts.. so I told him.. you know.. what's up?.. and I thought maybe it is jet lag that is messing with him.. so I said.. lets change plans.. and he was like.. NO NOO.. I don't want to do that to you .. and I insisted.. and after much insisting he agreed.. and that was that |
where in Asia? |
Ok, what you say makes total sense.. Now, the next question.. why would he have been so sweet by email overseas.. and as soon as he hit ground, here .. a total different person.. WHY? |
Iraq |
seriously? That's not Asia. So he's in the military? |
Not really.. he has a contract out there.. |
Wait wait wait. So YOU insisted on changing plans? Wha? So maybe you are misinterpreting texts. Good grief girl. Be specific! How many days was he home before _you_ insisted plans change??? Now it sounds like you jumped the gun here. |
Maybe it became too real when he got back and he's immature and not ready for that. It could be anything. Texting is not a true way to get to know someone - it may seem out of the blue , but you really don't know him at all. And he doesn't know you, either. It seems you were hopeful that this would become something more, and naturally you're very disappointed. But you're really only losing the fantasy of what you might have had with him, that's all. This is a common scenario, and the mark of an immature dude. |
