sorry to say, he probably met someone and slept with them and naturally, is enjoying himself, which really sucks. or, he got back with an ex? that sucks. or he just plain lost interest, even though he was communicating with you which sucks b/c he was just leading you on. or maybe he realized he plays for other team, which also sucks. whatever the reason, it just really sucks.
Agreed. It could be any of those things and more. OP: It appears you just do not know enough about this person to simply ask him. Which also sucks. Im sorry. Clearly something happened. It could also be a family matter, a health issue. etc. It could be literally any of the above and any thing else. I would suggest bracing yourself for this being the end of whatever it was or could have been. Put that in your mind, and then please just ask him straight up: is something wrong? How honest do you want him to be? Decide on that first, actually. THEN ask. I think you maybe need to know. If you are the type that prefers brutal honesty over games, then tell him so. Texting is not a huge commitment of spiritual energy. Maybe consider that he is not as into you as he appeared, which does NOT mean you not worth being into! Maybe tell us more detail? It depends on how busted up about this you are....
