| Why is that not considered racist? |
| Because black people can live in trailers too. |
| It is racist. It's just not racist against white people. |
| It is racist. You should just call them "trash." |
| It is racist. Have never understood how people can throw it around so easily. |
| It is not okay. I am upper class white Southern (defn not white trash) and my parents always made it clear that it was an unacceptable and pejorative word to say. |
|
You're supposed to say TRAILER TRASH, not WHITE TRASH.
That innoculates you from the racism. It doesn't make you a better person, though. |
Although trailer parks have a disproportionate share of meth heads and non-contributing members of society living in them, there are also many hardworking, decent people living in trailers who happened to be dealt a heavy hand in life. How classist of you to generalize so nastily about people you have likely never deigned to meet or even look in the eye. |
How dumb of you to boldface only the words you did and ignore the last sentence I wrote. So how about you go fuck yourself and the horse you rode in on? You fucking twat. |
Sorry. I should have spelled it with a "k". How klassy of you
|
| Didn't you get the memo? Only white people can be racist. |
| OP what answer are you looking for? That it's only racism, discrimination and diversity when people are talking about blacks? |
this. I am ashamed when I was younger in my teens and twenties to use terms like this. 'poor' bashing turns my stomach. |
Those folks aren't trailer trash. White trash -> Rednecks - > Good ol' boys It takes a couple generations to move up a class. |
| Great how we use a discussion of name-calling as an excuse to call each other names! |
