Ahh that explains it! |
Yep. Except it actually was a lot nastier back then, as it seemed like they were considering some sort of massive countywide bussing program (for an already diverse county). |
No, it is patently absurd to claim a change in school assignments will prevent you from speaking with your neighbors |
Time to stop feeding the troll. |
agreed. |

in the midst of covid, no less. talk about not caring about your constituents. |
so how did WXY get fired? Because it seems like they did this exact thing in 2020, but now we have Flo. |
The earlier report was just a "boundary analysis." This is an actual boundary study, which means really changing the boundaries. WXY apparently didn't bid on the current boundary studies. |
No it didn't but I bet you tried your hardest to make people think so |
Oh it did seem that way indeed and residents were very upset. These boundary surveys don’t do that, but are covering a lot of territory. Lots of history here that is important for context. |
Looking at that long report from WXY, it doesn't look like they ever have a synthesis of findings in terms of solutions. It's all "people are concerned about this and that" rather than "a strategy to move forward is this."
Which is disappointing. I keep going back to RM parent's point that what you want to avoid at the very least is making certain things worse. |
Kids and their families aren’t chess pieces. |
You know, I’m offended by the continued use of the word “unhinged.” I find it misogynistic as it harkens to calling women who are upset about something “crazy.” I don’t think it helps to do that, do you? |
Unhinged is a term that implies someone is disconnected from reality. I'm not aware of it being used specifically for women. I don't think it helps to exaggerate the implications of a potential school boundary change. |
