Thinking about ok Cupid and match. Have you tried online dating? Which site? |
My sister met her husband through e-harmony and he is awesome. One friend met her fiance through okcupid and he is great. Another friend met her longtime boyfriend online, but not sure which site. Actually, a lot of my friends have met their really awesome husbands online - some on match, some on jdate, some on okcupid or eharmony. It's a numbers game, though, so you might have to meet a lot of weirdos to find the one. |
I met my SO on e-harmony and had great results. We are soon to be engaged and we have been toegether for 2 years now. I have tried match.com in the past, but found most of the profiles to be shallow or false. Best of luck. |
My best friend just got married in August after meeting her husband on eharmony. It's the second marriage for both; they're in their mid-thirties. Great couple and I couldn't be happier for them. |
Met my husband on OKCupid. He and 10 month old DS are having a father son afternoon outing. Between what i read on this website and what i see in some of our friends' relationships, ours is one of the best. 2 other friends are engaged to someone they met on okcupid as well. |
Met my wonderful husband on match. Together 6.5 years, married for 3. He ended up being my first and only match date. |
I met my DW on match.com. You have to sort through the chaff, a bit, but there are some good people on there. |
I met my husband 15 years ago through Yahoo personals. It was in 1998 when all kinds of things were moving online. This was back in the days before everyone had a cell phone camera, so I just had a description. |
Met my wife through eHarmony. The benefit of eHarmony for us was that it kind of forced us to have a number of e-mails back and forth before we met, which turned out to be important because our first date did not go well. I suspect that if we had met on Match, we would not have gone on a second date. |
I met my husband (also the father of my child) through eHarmony. It was a pain in the ass to fill out all of the profile questions...send back long answer questions...short answer questions...blah blah blah. However our first phone conversation was over an hour long, we had so much to talk about, so clearly we hit it off from our first interaction.
That said, if I had met him in a bar or something I would never have talked to him because he is shorter than I am. So clearly eHarmony got past the superficial business and found a good match. |
My husband and I met on eHarmony. We know if 2 other couples that met their spouses on eHarmony, too! |

I met a man (coworker) in 1998 who had recently married someone he met online. Still together, still happy. |
I met my partner on OKCupid too. We both answered a lot of questions on there to improve our recommended matches which I found very effective.
My boss also met his wife online dating; he says it took him over 50 first dates to meet her but they've been happily married for 6-7 years now. |
Met my husband through a greek singles site. My sister met her husband on match.
