Marcus Garvey is dead and Bob Marley's family refused to appear with the Cambridges - leaving them forced to pose with a statue. Usain Bolt was also supposed to appear with them and backed out at the last minute. Terms obviously aren't as good as they would appear. Can't imagine why.

Usain Bolt has also spoken of being ghosted by Harry.

Really? Because he showed up for Harry. And I can look at this photo and see exactly why one Prince succeeded in the Caribbean and the other didn't. Harry is joyful, he's decked out head-to-toe in the country's colors, he even has Jamaica blazoned on his chest, he is having fun with one of Jamiaca's greatest legends (he did the same in the Barbados with back-to-back appearances with Rihanna who was recently awarded the title of National Hero), and he came with humbleness - not requesting or accepting a colonial military parade.

That was long ago. Things seem to have changed.

That was in direct response to PP saying Usain Bolt ghosted Harry. He didn't - he showed up for him. And what's more - the Jamaican's wanted Harry back. Not hard to see why. He actually put some effort in.

That video actually identifies what went wrong-- The tour was planned as a tribute to the Queen, a celebration of her jubilee. It was about the royals, not the Jamaican people. That's how you got that ridiculous colonial jeep ride instead of events that showed care or service to Jamaicans. There is just no way to focus on a historical reign without looking back in time, and so the tour looked. . . backward.

Ouch, the leader of Labour government is now involved. I haven't seen a royal criticized period by a head of a major party since Diana died and the Queen tried to treat it as a inconvenience.

The Labour leader said it was a 'bit odd' for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to ride in the back of the same Land Rover that the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh used.

'In a sense, what William and Kate were doing – which I applaud – is saying: 'We're looking to the future', but that all harked of the past, so I didn't quite see how that actually fit that well with the aim of their trip.'

There are ways. Charles was on a simultaneous tour of Ireland. If he wanted to show historical accuracy he would have rolled up in tanks guarded by soldiers and MI6. Considering an Irish separatist bombed and killed his great-uncle, Lord Mountbatten and 3 other relatives, in the 1960s. The IRA was huge and it wasn't even hinted at in Charles tour.

Wonder why?

There’s a Kate pic out this morning at PP memorial and it will be one of her lifetime keepers. She’s looking to her side with a beautiful smile (is she allowed to smile?). Can’t post on my phone.

Her outfit reminds me of something I made my Barbies wear in the 80s. I like the outfit, but it’s too dowdy and old fashioned for her. I think it’s the combination of the hat with the dress.

Omg I thought the same. It's really awful. Couldn't they have picked a basic black dress for her?

I hate that style, probably because that was the style when I was in middle school. Even so, it's very flattering on Kate.

Agreed. But to me she looked like a School Marm hired to mind the kids. The outfit wasn't flattering and the pattern is atrocious - she looks as flat as a cardboard box from neck to heels.

Queen Letizia was more reserved than usual but the tailoring on her outfit was impeccable. Beautiful flaring style that emphasized her waist and silhouette.

Agree its really bad. It looks like she is trying to hide with the hat and high neck which makes sense considering how humiliated they must be on how badly they orchestrated their big tour. They are the disaster couple now.

Kate has a great figure for fashion, but so much of it is so damned dowdy. It looks like Diana 2.0 (after the cute stuff she wore when single and before the glamorous stuff she wore when divorced). At least for Diana in the 80s, that style seemed fresh. Now it just looks Duggar.

Very few people in Jamaica give a crap about the queen and her damn jubliee. It's the old folks who who are still kowtowing to her majesty. In fact, it is insulting to us that this woman and her progenies feel they can still command a parade in front of commoners as if we hold them in high esteem.

I’m sure her fashion choices are influenced by the outstanding disaster they created on their Caribbean tour. She may be trying to dress for the over 75 crowd if they are the only supporters left after the debacle. She may also be trying to down play being the best dressed by adopting most forgettable or dowdy look. She was criticized for her evening gowns in the jungle in a poverty stricken country angry about colonialism and slavery. Her inappropriate fashion choices were the least of their problems next to the awful staged military parade.

Have they cancelled the royal yacht unveiling or is that still going forward?

As far as I know its still going forward. No idea why, Britain is going through some things with economic issues but sure a yacht is a brilliant play.
