Why do DCUMs claim "overpopulation"...

when someone mentions having a lot of kids? Like there was a thread where a woman was asking if she wanted more kids (mom of 4) and people started talking about how overpopulation was a big issue. I feel like if one couple has 2 kids, one has 6 and one 12, there are still lots of people with less kids to balance the pop. oh yeah and humans have a tendency to die so it isnt like we have endless reproduction and nothing keeping it in check.

If you are someone who cringes at larger families please tell why.

The US probably has less than the ideal # of kids/family to replenish our supply. But we seem to solve with immigration. On the whole though, the world has more people than we have adequate resources for.

there would be enough for all if we as humans were not so greedy.

I really dont think that a few large families are hurting things that much.

For example, most families at my kids school have 2-4 kids. there are 2 families with 6 and one with 9. Is i really causing a world issue?

22:16 here. I agree that some have too much and too many have too little. And perhaps we would have enough if the former gave it to the latter.

I cringe at large families because I grew up in one and don't recommend it.
