Also interesting that neither her parents nor siblings support her

UGH
for the gazilionth time, her family supports her. They literally answered their phone and told reporters "we love and support our daughter".

Also over 1000 holton arms almumnae who were there with her signed a letter saying they believe her.

This has been alleged about 300 times across the multiple threads and no matter how many times it has been claimed, it isn't true.

EXACTLY. On what planet does one wait an entire lifetime to report? This could all have been investigated decades ago, had Ford come forward then.

Sorry, was BK a Supreme Court nominee right after the incident?

Those of us who have never reported our assaults totally get her. Had he not been nominated to the SCOTUS Ford would not have come forward either.

I've been kind of surprised that there haven't been a bunch of people who went to high school and college with her piping up to defend her. Seems there would be a ton of people from her teenage years and early 20s who'd have something to say about her character like there has been (in both good and bad terms) with Kavanaugh.

What do you think about the women who've come forward on his behalf. Do you believe them?

Yup. She was a Holton-Arms, Columbia Country Club girl. Now she (and her husband) own a $3 million house Palo Alto and a $1 million beach house in Santa Cruz.

Only poor women can be victims of sexual assault? I’m not sure I follow your argument.

A PP condemned Kavanaugh for his white privilege. I was pointing out that his accuser has led a life of white privilege, as well. That's all.

She’s not expecting a top job in the country because of her privilege, dopus. It’s not really relevant.

He's not expecting a top job because of his privilege, either. He has an exemplary record and a top-flight education.

Really....wow do liberals condemn conservatives for their "privilege" and not rich liberals? Is it because....shudder.....he is that most hated of all, a white male?

He's a lying, weenie douchebag. That's the issue. Also: he cries a lot.

I am a victim of sexual assault.

I feel that this is setting the #metoo movement back.

If the message is believe any allegation then what is the message we are sending?

I simply do not believe her.

It's not the Democrats who've stopped the Kavanaugh vote - it's moderate Republicans. The few who are left who seem to be taking seriously their Constitutional duty of advice and consent. That's why the WH has so tightly limited the FBI investigation - they're trying to walk the fine line between not actually finding anything bad and giving Collins and Murkowski enough cover to vote for him.

The problem is, as people get over the shock of the hearing and actually think about it and watch clips from it, they're realizing that Kavanaugh's behavior - the lying, avoiding of questions, obsession with beer - is not what we want in a Supreme Court justice. Will those few undecided Senators be brave and vote against him? Or will they toe the party line? That's what this week is about.

Speak for yourself. The people I know feel exactly the opposite way. We feel his anger and emotions were fully warranted, given the accusations against him. I don't hold that against him at all. I would have been very shocked had he remained calm and pleasant, given the obvious assumption of guilt many of the Democrats have toward him. I know if I were accused of something I didn't do, I'd be hard-pressed not to throttle those asking the questions.

Please. He's a judge. If anyone behaved towards him in his courtroom the way he behaved toward Klobuchar, they'd be in big trouble.

He behaved badly.

Oh, but wait! We've already been told, ad nauseum, that this *wasn't* a court of law! Right??? He had every reason to be outraged. And I agree with what Lindsey Graham said as well. This is truly an unethical sham. Democrats should be so ashamed; though of course, they have no shame.

You know who has no shame over the terrible unethical treament of a SCOTUS nominee? Mitch McConnell. He will forever be known for his shameful treatment of Merrick Garland.
