Uh you’re forgetting the two legislators in MN.

That was not a public assassination. It took place in a private home.

What difference does THAT make?

Public assassinations tend to have a greater impact than private ones.

Public assassinations occur in front of witnesses or are captured by media, which amplifies the shock. The public setting turns the act into a spectacle, symbolizing a direct attack on shared values or leadership, which resonates widely and instantly. Private killings lack this immediate, communal exposure.

A public killing violates the sense of safety in shared spaces, making it feel like an attack on the public itself. Private assassinations feel more isolated, limiting the visceral sense of collective threat.

Hence the media coverage and why many are feeling this event deeply. It’s the first political assassination the public has witnessed in the US since 1968.

Correct. It’s terrorism as well

Why is it terrorism? One dude (Kirk), with a questionable reputation, was shot. He happened to have a political following, be wonder bread white, and was a YouTube influencer. Shooter is yet to be identified but appears to be another white American man of roughly the same age bracket. He used a gun, which Kirk politicized as a 2A right even if it might innocents get killed. And you say Kirk’s killing is terrorism. We fly flags at half mast and the body flies in AF2.

George Floyd is black. He also has a questionable reputation, but he was minding his on business. He was suspected of being high but quite happy. White cops detain him, and put him a chokehold (unprovoked) until he dies. People are outraged, get angry, and protest. MAGA (and probably PP) lose their mind, but they don’t view this killing as terrorism. Actually, the protestors are terrorists.

See any irony in all of that?

Floyd was not minding any business out in public, high on multiple drugs, driving high, fighting and running from police (store called that in), and not paying for items at the store.

Then BLM hoax was formed, burned down Kenosha, blm bought a mansion with the donations, harassed cities and restaurants for months after Covid, then went bankrupt.

Of course assassinating the keynote political speaker in public at a crowded event is terrorism and created immediate and widespread terror.

The police weren’t even called until after Floyd left the store. Floyd was sitting in a parked car when police arrived.

Correct, he was high, didn’t pay, got in an suv vehicle drivers seat high with two friends, store called police about theft and drug/driving risk, police came minutes later, Floyd refused to talk and ran off, Floyd refused to get in police SU?, Floyd flopped down on the ground to avoid getting into police vehicle, Floyd was restrained on the ground, Floyd died.
Nationwide BLM chaos, arson, thefts, threats, looting, deaths ensued; autopsy and trials ensued.

Great summary except for the excessive force.

This is cope.

They aren’t splitting.

They are bonding stronger after the left wings mockery of Kirk’s death.

I’m on the left and I don’t know anyone IRL who mocked his death. Everyone I know was disturbed by the violence. Stop claiming that some mythical “left” is mocking his death. A few **holes online don’t represent the left just as all the wackos I see on SM don’t represent all conservatives.

They believe that noting Kirk’s opposition of gun control is mockery of his death.

This. They believe if you post his exact quotes, it’s hate.

They believe if we say exactly who he is, it’s hate.

If I tell you exactly who he is, and you hate it that’s on you

He wasn’t the French (and let’s be honest, America always loves blaming the French).

He was ours.

A homegrown, red-blooded, flag-waving domestic terrorist.

The monster we raised, fed a steady diet of rage and conspiracy, and then acted surprised when he pulled the trigger.

This really is America’s special creation. There is no one thing to blame, it’s everything. The guns, mental health, our increasing cold and rageful culture. He was not made in a vacuum.

He was made online. Even look at DCUM- I don’t know anyone IRL of any political or social belief that would ever say even a quarter of the hateful outlandish things I read on here, even in seemingly normal posts. People become disconnected with reality when they spend too much time online- and a small percentage of people become so disconnected they feel moved to do things like this

Now that it’s clear it was one of their own, and this is another example of white on white, right on right crime, they are calling for prayers. Before, when they thought it was a trans person or a leftist, they were calling for war.

Remember that.

Democrats are not cheering his death. But they are not making him a martyr. And he wasn’t a politician so it’s not a political assassination. He was a media personality. He does not deserve a flight on Air Force One/Two with jd Vance and does not deserve to sit is state at the rotunda of the capitol.

How many gays have been killled/injured by what this man preached?

Whether you liked Charlie Kirk or not, hopefully we can agree that he didn’t deserve to murdered in broad daylight, especially in front of his wife and two young children. That’s it. Who cares about politics. This is right and wrong. There have been Democrat, Republican, and mentally ill shooters in these past event years. All messed up and wrong, regardless of their motive. He was a father na husband who didn’t deserve to be murdered.

Guns and 2A are the common denominator.

No. A left wing fascist assassinated Charlie Kirk
