Can't argue too much with that. Really difficult to see where Cosby and DR fit among the others with such few data points. WestPo won Region C, but I think Robinson was the better team over the season.

I would rank as follows:

3. Langley
4. BF
5. Oakton
6. SL
7. Cosby
8. Robinson
9. Deep Run

I tried to give deference to head-to-head wins. Really not sure who deserves 10. Seems like a really big drop here to WestPo, Chantilly, Westfield, Woodson.

I’m from Vienna and brought up that it was a dicey call. We were only up 3 when it happened (end of 3rd), but when it did they rolled over. They were pumped up and hanging tough until that point.

Battlefield at 3?!? Really? Is this a joke? Clearly written by a BF parent.

1. YT
2. Madison
3. Langley
4. South Lakes
5. Oakton
6. BF
7. Cosby
8. DR
9. Robinson
10. WestPo

The sad part is YT absolutely decimated WestPo 22-2. And WestPo was the Region C Champion. What does that say about Region C and high school lax in general.

Somebody should sound the alarm on this if we're doing top 10s. Agreed.

Wrong. I hate BF as much as the next person, but while Langley has a HTH win mid season, they lost by larger margins to YT (not even close) twice to BF have 2 closer games against YT (playing real close yesterday), and BF has wins over Madison and Oakton, something Langley does not. Gotta be consistent if you want to be serious.

Early line on Sat should be Yorktown -1 or pick ‘em depending on where you shop. Slight edge to the defending champs, esp with an extra day of rest but should be a good one.

Wonder what the issue was when they lost 16-2 to YT in a scrimmage. Maybe didn't bring everyone?

Missing girls and hadn’t figured things out yet. Their fans said they can be up and down. Plus they reportedly played it like a scrimmage.

I knew something was odd, because there was no way the Cosby team that YT saw could come within 1 goal of WA.

WA had serval girls out with injuries this game. Wouldn’t use this is a jusdgement.

Anonymous wrote:BF has a good mix of players. They lost by 5 second game of season. Then beat Madison by 1 at Madison. Beat Robinson and Oakton also. They had 1 weekend blip all year long. Only thing that concerns me is pressure on ball and speed which they haven’t seen much of in last 6-7 weeks.

But…But…But….the Mag 7! 4 in a row! Pahleeze. Stop with the excuses. Win the State title or sit down and keep quiet.

Regardless of their path to states, you can’t possibly argue that they aren’t one of the top 4 teams. If you think your team is better you should have reached out and scheduled them.

BF is Top 10 not Top 4. Not by a long shot.

This is a bad take. Beat Madison in regular season at Madison and just lost by 2 to the defending champions. Name 2 other better teams. Langley is the only one you have a case for.

Oakton
Langley

Looking at schedules and BF beat Oakton by 4. Langley lost to Yorktown by 6 and 8. Closest game that Yorktown has had besides the loss to Madison and beating WA by 1 was beating BF by 2.

3 Battlefield
4 Langley
5 Oakton

I think it’s fair to say a full strength Cosby was not as bad as a 16-2 loss to YT, but not as good as a 1 goal loss to a full strength WA. We saw how when they lost their top player on cards yesterday that they fell off.

Agree with this! Least biased take on rankings.

West Potomac lost to Robinson both times they played this year so I would switch those. Otherwise looks about right.
