Okay, we'll allow that, but how does it account for the other three? Also, what's your beef with Kaya, since you can't seem to focus on anything else here? (Not WaPo, btw.) |
Kaya is a good person in general, my indictment of her story is that it's the only one being told. there were reasons she was yelled at and criticized. She thinks it was a toxic culture when in fact she was an ass to the vets, out of shape, uncoachable and in general just not good enough for the NWSL. If she were, she would be playing. However, she gets quoted like some massive whistleblower. Imagine an NFL, NBA or MLB rookie screaming at veterans before the games and in a team huddle before and after the anthem. Yelling at a veteran for standing when they are entitled to that choice as well. STFU and play the game - now she is in the twitter echo chamber as a hero. I am done talking about her. I am just answering you |
Okay, but what about the others who backed her up and didn't go on the record because it could kill their career potential? She could use her name precisely because she's out. Did Richie have a good reason for yelling at the youth players he coached, too? |
I am just stating what I know about Kaya since I was asked what my issue is with her. Do I think Baldwin needs to go? Yep. Sure do. I like Kaya - she spoke her mind, she provided her opinion. Cool. I’m just saying there is another side that’s not often told Richie yelling at youth? Ha. That sums up soccer nationwide. Don’t be soft - if a player doesn’t like their coach they can leave anytime. Also was he a terrible hire? Yes absolutely It’s broken and will be fixed but people that think white men can’t fix it make me sick |

I'm new to all this and have read the posts here and the WAPO article. There are some very odd, aggressive males posting here who clearly resent any push for anything other than the status quo with men being in charge of everything.
Are these soccer dads who think so little of the women's game that they think they could run things on these teams? Also anyone who talks about coaches being too "soft" or not "hard" enough, should be ignored. Any coach who thinks that way should be fired. They are dinosaurs who need to go. |
Amen sista! I’m with you |
| There are some youth coaches out there sweating bullets right now. How long until a story comes out about some of the local clubs? Only a matter of time. |

| So is NWSL going to collapse? |
So, FC Virginia will become a cesspit of those fired or resigned from Washington Spirit? Parents, be warned!! |
I doubt that they take RB back anytime soon and for all intents and purposes he is likely done as club coach. He is banned form NWSL and that is a bad look for any organization to hire. He might have a soccer career as a personal trainer but he is certainly done coaching for some time to come. |
How come nobody ever took issue with US Soccer using Sunil Gulati's travel agency for all its needs? |
Classic whataboutism. But to play along, that is a conflict of interest. A bad one. Just like the Spirit investor mentioned in the prior post. Since this is a Spirit thread, let’s get back on topic and not talk about Gulati’s travel agency, which has nothing to do with the Spirit. |
| The Gulati stuff sounds interesting to me. |
