The American public is, I think, a little desperate to find something humanizing in this presidency--even us liberals. Mainly because it is hard to imagine anyone can be as soulessly tone-deaf and incompetent as Trump has been time and time again. Melania would be universally loved--if even a centimeter of.light came through the locked door of her motivations. No one cares if she gets plastic surgery--in this day and age, her demographic, it's expected.

But no. There's nothing instead. That's why I suspect something more sinister.

Maybe she refused to play ball and they locked her up. Maybe she flipped and fled.

I feel like if she was a consenting party in this they'd make an excuse.for her absence---but for some reason, they're frozen like deer in the headlights. They don't want to just make up a recovery lie for some reason. Plastic surgery, nervous breakdown, more serious illness--even just wanting "a break" as our token conservative likes to.claim.... those are easy. Say she has shingles, say she has Epstein Barr, say her mother is Ill, whatever.

But instead there's this silence, like they're waiting for her to either come back.to the fold.or for another shoe to drop.

Only one I am aware of is one sent his plane to pick up a sick kid. But even that story has a shady side to it.

My thoughts exactly! It would be so easy to say she is still recovering. A quick photo op would squelch the speculation. Clearly Trump cares about the speculation- enough that he pointed to the empty window and composed her fake tweet. If the tweet is not fake, then simply snap a pic of her working. Case closed!

Why did she spend 5 days at Walter Reed for an outpatient procedure?

Why has she spent 3 weeks recovering from something that is typically 3 days of rest?

If you answered with surgery complications or slow recovery, why won’t this admin just tell us that?

Why would she even have that type of procedure done at Walter Reed?

Why wasn’t she at the MD wreath-laying ceremony?

Why won’t they explain her absence on MD?

Why would Trump (or someone) tweet from her account?

Why would she be staring at him out the WH window and why couldn’t the reporters see her even though Trump could?

Why would she suddenly change her location back to NYC?

If she is still recovering, why is the entire family going on a trip to Camp David without her?

Why won’t they lay these rumors to rest by simply sharing a photo of her working hard?
