LAMB closing its existing campuses and consolidating to one campus

I really think parents who care about the school should stop engaging in this thread and wait until the parent's meeting this week. It does not make any sense to accuse the administration of lying re: the campus issue or speculate on the extent of renovations needed without even hearing their plans. There are some disgruntled parents here who are willing to turn on the administration at every opportunity, and their personal experiences may justify that, but it does not reflect the experience of the entire school.

Do all students entering LAMB now or in future still have a guarantee to DCI? Or have they exceeded their allocation? Has anyone asked directly?

The issue has come up with Stokes and MVs proposed expansions. And the answer is that they would lottery for the DCI seats and not all would get one.

That is a good question to ask directly, but this move to Kingsbury is not really an expansion. Didn't LAMB got that expansion approved last year from the Charter Board to get them up to their 80 quota? But it would certainly make sense to get a reiteration of that from the admin.

I don't honestly know what LAMB's DCI quota/allocation was/is, and I can't find it anywhere online. For comparison purposes, MV's has always been 80; they were always a bigger school than LAMB. Stokes' allocation was always less, reflecting its size at the time the DCI agreements were struck.

The question is what LAMB and DCI have agreed to in writing, and if it's enough to cover all of the grades now enrolled.

PP is right. Kingsbury's current certificate of occupancy is for no more than 300 students. So LAMB must be hoping to either renovate and reconfigure the existing space, or build an addition over some of the green space or parking areas.
