Correct. I have seen videos from different angles and what some people don't realize yet is that in trying to drive away, the woman actually drove directly at an agent. I can see why she did that in a moment of panic and misjudgement, and most likely would have swerved away as she drove away. But in that fatal second, she was aiming at an agent, and that is when the agent shot his gun.

This is a tragedy and there is blame for both sides. But right now people really need not to get charged at fighting and blocking ICE agents who are doing their lawful job.

Protest ICE peacefully, don't interfere with their actions, stick to court cases and peaceful protests.

I thought law enforcement were trained not to get in front of moving vehicles/vehicles in drive? Aren’t they supposed to come around from the sides to prevent this, especially because people tend to panic in these situations?

they have no training beyond might makes right. That is all there is now to our legal system to our economic system to our political system. might makes right.

Don't be like that. You know that police agents & federal officers undergo serious training.

ICE does not. Other agents, I agree.

Let's agree that this was an unnecessary & preventable tragedy.

You call this an unnecessary & preventable tragedy??

You people are absolutely deranged. Deranged. That Gestapo killed that woman in cold blood.

This is the new normal in America, people.

It's terrifying.

Gee, it's almost like it's a bad idea to send armed people into the streets with very little training. /s

No training. These are not trained LE and in some instances no experience beyond needing a job. This is very bad

The ICE officer (the victim) is currently in the hospital being treated for wounds related to the vehicle hitting them.

Hope he succumbs to his injuries.

Wow. You are a terrible person.

He was hit because he shot the driver in the face blinding them. He should be charged with her murder and his own injury to a federal officer.

I doubt he will be so I said what I said.

ICE investigated itself and found no wrongdoing.

Yep Kristi Noem, Kash Patel and Trump’s tweet are the same. Investigation over. The woman who was shot and killed was a domestic terrorist.

She was not breaking the law.

If she was impeding ice agents I do believe that is breaking the law.

Nope. I hope he rots in hell. ANd if you feel sorry for him, I hope you do too.

Your feelings in the matter are irrelevant. Thankfully.

Then they should have called the city police and had her arrested. But they chose to execute her on the spot. Eff them.

Can her family sue for defamation?

Who thinks ICE officers ever get pulled away to desk work temporarily after they are involved in a shooting? Or that ICE would ever investigate whether the shooting was justified before declaring the shooting victim a violent rioter?

Keep in mind, this is the same administration that has pardoned war criminals (and reinstated military status and honors) and has said "We also don't fight with stupid rules of engagement."
