But its Biden's fault, right?

No, he was not granted asylum, you are spreading misinformation.

It is reported on multiple reputable news sites. Where are you seeing that he overstayed?

I already linked NewsNation; what is your reputable source?

NewsNation is a reputable source??

I also think the people sending untrained non-professionals to do police work in a city are to blame. As well as the lack of gun control.

I also just missed this. I was traveling around DC today with family via scooters. I exchanged pleasantries with several of the national guardsmen. They were just standing around minding their own business, perhaps a bit bored- looking tbh. They are all so young. And unless they are stationed in SE, they aren’t doing police work here.

And this is why none of them should be here. They should all be home doing their regular jobs and with their families and not being targets for terrorists in our city.

I disagree. They have done a lot of good all over the country.

Like what, exactly?

BREAKING: Per multiple federal law enforcement sources, the suspect in custody for the shooting of two National Guard soldiers in DC is an Afghan national who entered the U.S. on 9/8/2021 as part of the Biden admin’s Operation Allies Welcome in the aftermath of the US withdrawal from Afghanistan.

I’m told his permission to be in the U.S. expired in September of this year, and he is now in the country illegally.

"I'm told". That seems like even Bill Melugin, whoever he is, isn't sure.

CNN says he was granted asylum. So does ABC.

Just remember, as you sleep soundly in your bed tonight, Kash Patel is out there leading a manhunt to capture the shooter. He can run, but he can't hide.

If only Trump hadn’t put them in harms way and then ramped up the hate with his secret police all over the country.

More blood on his hands. Could be that he* planned it that way, seems that he pretty quickly got 500 more troops.

*or whoever is in charge of Trump

Two more victims of Biden's horrible presidency.

Afghan national Rahmanullah Lakanwal, who came to US in 2021 withdrawal, ID’d as alleged terrorist gunman in shooting of 2 National Guard members in DC

The crazed gunman who shot two National Guard troops in a possible terror attack near the White House Wednesday has been identified as a 29-year-old Afghan national who came to the US during the chaotic 2021 Afghanistan withdrawal, law enforcement sources told The Post.

Rahmanullah Lakanwal was allegedly lying in wait before he rounded the corner near the Farragut West Metro Station in Northwest DC around 2:15 p.m., then opened fire, striking a female guard in the chest before shooting her in the head, according to law enforcement sources.

Lakanwal, who entered the country under Operation Allies Welcome and resettled in Bellingham, Washington, then allegedly fired at and struck the second guard — until a third guard stationed nearby rushed to the area and took him down, the sources said.

The two armed soldiers, who were patrolling the streets when the suspect launched his rampage, were taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition, authorities said.

So... We now know the shooter was an Afghan national who came here in 2021 as a result of the collapse of Afghanistan, which was architected by Trump and Pompeo via the deal they made with the Taliban behind everyone's backs.

The result of Biden's catastrophic withdrawal - orchestrated by the Biden administration with Jake Sullivan at the helm - without the approval of the generals who gave other guidance which was totally disregarded.
Then, the idiots in charge at the State Dept. allowed any Tom, Dick or Harry who got onto the plane to get a free flight out and welcomed to the US under “Operation Allies Welcome” when a large portion of those who made it onto the planes were not allies at all. Poorly vetted.
This guy was one of those.

MAGAs keep repeating this stupid lie to cover up the fact that it was Trump who negotiated that disastrous deal with the Taliban.

They are either bots from a not farm or
people dumb enough to follow bots.

It's possible both things are true. Asylum isn’t typically granted forever.

Wasn’t Trump ordered to send the guard home?

Those troops should have been home with their families today.

NBC is saying that the shooter is 29, came to the US in 2021 (age 24), and served alongside US soldiers for 10 years.

So basically he was a child solider, working with US troops starting at age 14. He has a wife and five children who are back in Washington.

This story is going to shed light on a lot of dark things we did in Afghanistan

No, it's not. What it is doing is demonstrating how this shooting is Dump's fault. His horrific and cruel immigration policy left Afghan patriots who risked their lives to support use abandoned and vulnerable to the Taliban. His ridiculous, wasteful authoritarian theater tha is spending $200 million+ to have Guard members away from their families and careers to stand around at Metro stations performing authoritarian theater left these Guard members as sitting ducks.

Never forget---this shooting is Donald Trump's fault.
