Lakanwal, who entered the country under Operation Allies Welcome and resettled in Bellingham, Washington, then allegedly fired at and struck the second guard — until a third guard stationed nearby rushed to the area and took him down, the sources said.

The two armed soldiers, who were patrolling the streets when the suspect launched his rampage, were taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition, authorities said.

So... We now know the shooter was an Afghan national who came here in 2021 as a result of the collapse of Afghanistan, which was architected by Trump and Pompeo via the deal they made with the Taliban behind everyone's backs.

The result of Biden's catastrophic withdrawal - orchestrated by the Biden administration with Jake Sullivan at the helm - without the approval of the generals who gave other guidance which was totally disregarded.

I also just missed this. I was traveling around DC today with family via scooters. I exchanged pleasantries with several of the national guardsmen. They were just standing around minding their own business, perhaps a bit bored- looking tbh. They are all so young. And unless they are stationed in SE, they aren’t doing police work here.

And this is why none of them should be here. They should all be home doing their regular jobs and with their families and not being targets for terrorists in our city.

They couldn't scrap it because Trump and Pompeo had negotiated a strict cut off date before US troops would no longer be subject to a cease fire from the Taliban.

Let's also blame McCain for weakening DC gun laws AFTER voters voted for additional gun control measures, and also Trump (again!) for making it easier for those suffering from mental illness to purchase firearms. Also, if he didn't have National Guard in DC illegally, they wouldn't have been shot.
