Cory Booker Filibuster

I used to think he was a bit corny when he ran for Pres prior, but his brand of corny actually moved many during his 25-hour speech.

This may be the right moment for him to do the next thing on a long list of next things he's excelled at (Football player, College President, Master Degree, Rhodes Scholar, Law Degree, Mayor, Senator. More than just the accolades, he comes across as an authentic, kind and non-partisan man who will put his physical comfort and health aside (25-hour speech, hunger fasts in the past, moving into the projects to connect with a community) to take a stand for what he believes in.

And he did it without blaming ordinary Americans or political parties. "This is not Right or Left, it's Right or Wrong. This is not a partisan moment, it's a moral moment."

God bless him. He displayed leadership and drive and it impressed me.

He is very talented but if you are alluding to running for president in the bolded statement above, he won't win.

He is unmarried for a reason. Absolutely no one believes he actually dated Rosario Dawson.

Putin is not newly divorced or newly anything unless I missed anything. No one cares about relationship status anymore.

Some people do at church, bless them bc they have kids for the rest of us — we indeed need to make more workers for our new
manufacturing economy (hahah, cry)

Americans definitely care about relationship status for President. Only one in history has been unmarried

You're telling on yourself, not on anyone else.

Seriously. Get out more, talk to people IRL. Socialize with humans face-to-face instead of chatbots.

And this is the first one we've had one with 2 divorces and an affair with a porn actress. Are you sure people care?

You might want to investigate your speaker of the house.

You mean one party welcomes people in both columns and the other party doesn’t?

not anymore. They used to care that a POTUS was faithful, never divorced. Now, we have a twice divorced serial cheater including with porn stars, sexual assaulter, in the WH.

No-one EXCEPT hyperpartisan Dems believe that Democrats are somehow “more moral” than Republicans. Because no-one believes it, we should stop saying it!

Instead, we need to start doing things FOR the voters. Including helping to pass the most popular parts of Trump’s agenda. It’s a bitter pill—I’d rather just obstruct. But if we spend four years refusing to give the voters what they want, we’ll be even LESS popular than we are now.

If you really think that Democrats don't have the moral high ground in the US right now, then you should just keep voting for Trump. We aren't for you.

I'm not sure if "moral high ground" is something either party can claim at this time with all things being considered. Less low ground maybe?

I do think it's safe to say those that supported the re-election of Trump in 2024 have less appreciation for and understanding of the importance of integrity in a POTUS considering they supported a person that had the job previously and while supposedly on the job, he refused to answer calls and messages containing pleas for his help for THREE hours while security was being breached and most of our high ranking members of Federal Government were being chased to the basement of the US Capitol Building by a mob of hundreds. There are some bat poop crazy or just plain stupid people out there.

These are just voter stats. Each group in the left column votes more than 50% for Democrats and each group in the right column votes more than 50% for Republicans. If these unbiased statistics feel so “off” to you that you confidently insult the poster sharing them, then you’re the one telling on yourself and you’re the one who should talk to people in real life (outside the beltway).

I love him for this! He will get my vote for anything and everything!
I really hope he runs for president. This is what our constitution needs- a protecter and truth-speaker!

Anyone who can maintain ambiguity about his preferences well into his 50s AND talk for 25 hours without stopping is a natural born politician, that’s for sure!
