There wasn't for the 27's. However, several posters claimed they'd heard there were going to be shakeups for the 28's directly from Cap affiliated peeps. Stay tuned.

It happened with the 25's

There was big change at 2026 between 9th & 10th.

We are 6 weeks out, summer club is over.

I gotta say, I’m feeling nervous. Those early interest lists seem years ago. Although she has got interest the last few weeks, lots of target schools on her list have not reached out to club.

Hoping for the best, preparing for the worst.

How did the 2027s do at HHH committed? If I am remembering correctly, the 2026s played on some really great teams and many of them got offers and calls from those teams September 1. Hoping the same for the 2027s!!

Recruiting classes will be much smaller for the 2027s. Teams will use the portal for 2-3 players per year moving forward.

Most of those girls played for schools they had no remote interest in. A bit of a waste of time.

Agree with this. The host club’s players got the best teams and other girls got randomly placed. All of the coaches were busy coaching their teams - not watching 27s on other teams. Not sure it was worth the $$ and time.

I heard HHH doubled in size and went from 30 to some 60+ colleges attending. I also heard all the girls that were at the clinic got paired up with a school versus last year many got dismissed after the clinic without an invite. So although there are more schools there and everyone got an invite, it also meant there were a lot of girls paired up with a school they had no interest in. However, a lot of these players need to realize having interest at all from any D1 is good given only 3% will even play at D1 college.

All schools except the Ivy league use the portal-- that’s nothing new...

Also need to remember all these coaches know each other, so even if you were playing on a team at HHH that you didn’t want to be on, I bet you that Coach knows the coach of the school you really love, so don’t burn any bridges, and you never know who knows who.

I agree, a lot of these players need to realize that, not sure why they don't. They had better soon.

The pattern seems to be these showcases and clinics start out exclusive and then a year or two later they expand because they know they can make a lot more money so they include a lot more girls making it more difficult to be seen and less of a real recognition of talent or opportunity. And girls are going to 4 or 5 of these a summer. JO, AS, AA, BIC, Nilly, HHH, etc. It’s getting ridiculous. And we’ve done them and fallen for it so not criticizing anyone.

This is accurate. It’s just math. The portal didn’t create a net loss of spots on rosters. It could impact specific schools based on their unique needs.

At what point do people say enough is enough? The FOMO is driving all this.

People also need to realize, lax is very political, it’s not always based on merit. Money talks and relationships matter. Your last name is as important as your play on the field.

Just look at 4 of the last 5 overall ranked players in each grad class.
