People can hide affairs, even when they go into public and especially when they have friends, managers, and others who will cover for them. And if the wife questions, the cheater calls them crazy, tells them they’re blowing things out of proportion, and/or just denies it. They cover their tracks. Stars like Grohl have enablers.

We want to believe that the person being cheated on knows, it makes us feel like it’s their fault and less tragic. But that’s rarely the case.

Cheaters are ultimately emotional abusers - they lie, they cross boundaries, they manipulate, and they use.

I feel nothing but sadness for Jordyn and hope she’ll move on and live the life she deserves with a partner who is good to her. She seemed like she genuinely loved her husband.

No. I just don’t buy this. I think most women marry these rockstars - or stars in general - believe they are the one. That their husband will be faithful - they aren’t like the groupies and girlfriends, they are special and there are vows and commitments. And no doubt that exactly what Grohl told Jordyn.

I don’t wear my wedding ring and my husband and I walk around like that all the time. Not saying things are great, but I don’t see the evidence in that interaction.

Well, it was well known that he cheated for years, both before and after he married her. This did not come out of the blue.

It is suspected that Dave dumped Melissa Auf der Maur (the bassist for Hole) to be with his current wife, Jordyn Blum. This is one of the reasons why Courtney Love hates Grohl so much. Auf der Maur was living with Grohl in NYC and had to move out of his place.

Here's the basic timeline:
1994 - marries Jennifer Youngblood
1997 - cheats on his wife with Louise Post (singer of Veruca Salt), Youngblood files for divorce
1998 - cheats on Louise Post with Winona Ryder (Post claims Grohl broke up with her over the phone)
1999 - starts dating Melissa Auf der Maur
2001 - cheats on Auf der Maur to be with Jordyn Blum
2003 - marries Blum
2004 - 2024: lots of cheating rumors
2024: Grohl admits to fathering a daughter outside his marriage
