First, if you know which teams RP was coaching, then you know that the 05/06 team is mostly about to graduate. Some are going on to play in college or pursuing semi-pro opportunities abroad and others will be hanging up their cleats for good. Either way, this spring should have been a time for them and their club to celebrate the culmination of many years of playing soccer. Something all U18/19 players do. RP also coached the 07 team which is in the middle of recruiting right now. Having the coach of those age groups replaced mid-season has a big impact on those players (regardless of how you feel about the coach) but especially when it was obviously done spur-of-the-moment without a plan in place to minimize the disruption to the teams/players affected by this action.
Second, telling people to “get over it” is a pretty sh!tty thing to say. Akin to your DC tearing an ACL and someone saying “It happens. Get over it!”.
No need for you to be a jackass to people just because you can’t relate to how this impacts them.
