For real. 05/06s are rolling into the start of the HS season, not preoccupied with what is going on at GFR. |

Why would NM and ML be listed on these teams if he is going to work for GFR? |
Why wouldn't assume he will add GFR to this new FU venture at some point? They are all pretty local. Who knows what any of them are thinking? |
Interesting |
|
Well this is....interesting. Just a few days ago, the "Officials & Staff" page on the GFR website here:
https://www.gfrsoccerclub.org/Default.aspx?tabid=1209808 ...listed NM as the TD and ML as the Director of Coaching and under "Term Expiration", it said "per signed contract". Now it appears that that has been removed from both positions? |
GFR parent here. I received zero communication on this. What’s going on? |
Hmmmm what does that mean? |
As a GFR parent, I'd be reaching out to leadership asking why they made a hire that appears as if it may pan to be nothing. Those two are tied to other clubs right now, and next year they'll be tied to other clubs again. How can they expect them to do anything beneficial for GFR? |
GFR moved on. It’s time to move on, buddy. |
I’m sure GFR leadership probably knew and agreed to them continuing to coach in the ECNL. My daughter played for NM when he was in MSI. He was coaching very successful teams in Herndon, our team won a state cup in MD and had around 20 kids from MSI go off to play in college, and at the same time, he won a national championship with his McLean Ecnl team. He was busy but he can handle it and you will be very lucky to have him as a director. He had many other great coaches including ML help so he is not just a good coach but great director. Sit back and enjoy the ride. My daughter who is playing in college now still misses the beautiful soccer he teaches and is looking forward to playing with him this summer. I don’t know who RP is but sounds like he is trying to poison the water. |
Thanks NM! |
Unfortunately, this is a true statement. Not passing judgment on what happened to him one way or the other but it’s time to let it go and move on for the sake of the players who are still at GFR. |
|
LOL. That is pretty funny. |
They don't. Youth Soccer is all a big money grab. I suspect the large number of scholarship players fueling GFR's success in recent years was a factor in booting the leaders who brought those players in. |
