Lol. I’m the poster who had two UVA grads, one who joined the Peace Corp for three years and other who lived abroad for 7 years after college and got a masters in a European university. Both also studied abroad in college. Does that sound like a “lack of curiosity and fear of adventure” to you? Get back to me after your spawn do that after going to Ohio State. |
Your kid probably made a smart choice to go to Kelly because it’s a direct admit to the business school. UVA’s commerce school is obviously better but not direct admit so your kid would be taking a risk. |
Talk about a stretch. NOVA has skewed wealthy for generations and in fact now has more immigrants and free lunch type students than ever. All of the data is easy to find. Google is your friend. On top of that, the cost of college has long been increasing faster than the rate of inflation. Nobody can argue with a straight face that, even if NOVA is richer now than it was then (which it isn’t) college still hasn’t gotten more expensive for the average NOVA family than before. Seriously, where do you people come from? |
“Seriously, where do you people come from?“
“NOVA has … more immigrants … than ever.” |
On DCUM, People who typically post on DCUM now have more money, more money for out of state choices. |
Bull |
So just over half. Not a great yield %. |
Obnoxious. Are all UVA boosters this obnoxious? |
You may not realize it, but you are a deplorable, disgusting human being. |
Wow. Peace corps. Yawn. |
From the “College Transitions” website: “UW-Madison’s yield rate—the percentage of accepted students who elect to enroll, divided by the total number of students who are admitted is 29%. This figure is significantly lower than other powerhouse state universities like the University of Michigan, UVA, and UCLA.” IU’s yield is 22 perfect. Ohio State’s is 30. |
Ha ha ok. Sorry that my kids are more accomplished than yours. |
Matches wisco perfectly then Better than IU, not as rabid/large as ohio, not as prestigious as um/ucla/uva (though I would pick wisco over uva any day of the week but not over um or ucla) |
Yet CodeSignal ranks UVa #1 in student performance in software engineering, ahead of MIT and Caltech. And UVA’s $120 million machine learning and data science institute keystone just opened its doors. Times change. |
US News ranks Indiana and UVA’s undergraduate business programs equally. Both are #8. |
