Oakridge Principal

The affair is not the principal’s fault. The fact that these people are carrying on and making something obvious to kids is very much a school leadership issue.

Was the coach the married one in this affair? And the KIDS knew? (Students)? How is that possible? I would say that’s a leadership issue if true, but color me skeptical that a bunch of 7 year olds can suss out an affair

Assuming we can’t say names on here lol? My understanding from this thread and from a friend of an Oakridge teacher is that the gym teacher was engaged, the homeroom teacher was not, but was well aware of his status.

I know the PE teacher and don’t believe this!

I see the gym teacher every morning. Pretty sure he wears a ring and has kids—gross! And what grade is the homeroom teacher. upper or lower grade?😇

Agree with previous posters—-sounds like poor life choices not necessarily poor leadership in this case.

There is more than one male gym teacher. Based on earlier comments in this thread, I'm assuming it's not the one that is married with kids.

It is NOT the married PE teacher!!! as is stated several times, it was an engaged male PE teacher who does not wear a ring and an upper grade homeroom teacher. Only commenting to prevent a good person from being roped into/associated with this childish behavior.

Noted! I didn’t believe it. This is a bad soap opera.

After reading this thread I started to suspect my kiddo was in the class impacted by the affair. DC said the gym teacher is in there “all the time”. These are adults in a private consensual relationship, but when it impacts my child’s education I have a problem. Under no circumstances should a gym teacher be in a classroom on a consistent basis to the point where students are picking up on it.

Oh, an affair between staff is the least of the worries at this school. It seems as if the principal if threatened by the AP and is running him out. The way he is treated by her is truly shocking.

Well, shocking for anyone else besides her.

I 100% agree.

People have affairs in all walks of life. Lots of bad people out there. Why is this one getting so much traction on here?

Per this thread:

1. The affair put a PE teacher in a classroom during instructional hours.
2. Students were exposed to inappropriate behavior from both parties.
3. There is discussion about whether the principal could have acted to stop the classroom visits.

Talked to a friend of an Oakridge teacher today. She said——

- The principal was one of the last people to learn of the affair.
-There isn’t much she can do from a personnel perspective—it’s not against regulation to lack morals.
- The entire staff is aware of the affair and disgusted by it—-minus a few friends of the homeroom teacher.
-Neither party has shown any remorse; quite the opposite in fact.
-The fiancee was an APS employee and notified by Oakridge staff of the affair.
