Chinese balloon flying

Probably a dumb question but I haven’t been able to find the answer even after reading many recent articles.

The US military was jamming any signals that may have eminated from the balloon since before it entered US airspace, so, no, it wasn't.

So you were told.

Yes, Chinese Spy Balloons Flew Over The U.S. When President Trump Was In Office Too

Complete lack of urgency bla bla bla.

This pretty much demonstrates that all of the "Trump woulda..." and "If Republicans were in charge they'da.." comments are complete BS.

Little hint. When the media starts posting stories like this and the one about how heroic Biden was turning the tables on China, it’s strictly to help the Prez save face.

Nah, it just raises the question of why Trump didn't do anything when the Chinese invaded our airspace on his watch.

Navy divers have already recovered anything worth recovering.

posting again to reiterate the point

Well... once they actually noticed it. Who knows what intel it had picked up in the meantime.

They knew about it the whole time. They jammed transmissions before it hit US airspace. they took it out when it was safe for Americans on the ground.

Seriously, what is your complaint?

So you have information to the contrary? Please do tell.

I don't really get what the point of this was. China already has far more sophisticated ways of spying on us/stealing information on us than something as crude as this stupid balloon. On top of that, the balloon was much more visible than all the other stuff they did so sure to result in large scale outrage.

Is it possible this was some rogue spying attempt.

Maybe I'm being naive, but it's hard for me to imagine that the most senior levels of the Chinese government would think this was a good thing to do.

Apparently it was spotted before it entered the US.

Yep, they had it in their sights even before it reached the Aleutians.

Well, I guess it managed to provoke the looney toons "Jewish Space Laser" part of America, but the rest of us kept our cool.

Yes, you are naive and you're backpeddling after the fact.

Chinese imagery satellites suck and this filled gaps.

On top of it, you democrats waited until it completed its SIGINT and IMINT mission before shooting it down.

I'm sure Biden will blame the pentagon like he did for Afghanistan. Everyone sees thru the cover story.

Yup, you bent over like the DNC always does. As vp, Joe didn't even want to kill Bin Laden.

No, they saw it coming, jammed its transmissions, disrupted its mission but used it to understand chinese capabilities before disposing of it without harm to American lives or property.

You live in a world of alternative facts. Time to join Earth rather than Earth Prime.

When one has no basis in facts or science, everything is a conspiracy.

Trump allowed three such balloons to happen, never shot them down and never disclosed it. So why are you mad at Biden?
